We have not as yet had occasion to put it in such strong terms, but have frequently been greatly worried by the Bmall boy and his inexhaustible stock of gab. The Clat ion says: We have intimated several the columns of the Clai-ion, that one of the things that justify a printer in swearing or committing homicide, is to have some lubber of a boy, whether big or little, come into the office for the purpose of loafing. The practice i abominable, it is contemptible, it 13 well, give us more rope or we're gone. A loafer is a first-class nuisance any where, but in a printing office, where' men are handling type, he is ten times worse than he would be loafing around the royal palaces ojf the Celestial city. A printer likes to see his friends and patrons and always welcomes them, but to have some great, big lazy lout of a boy or young man(?) come in and sit down in the way, and sit and sit and sit.

and perhaps shoot ofF his bazoo, makes any printer feel that to cremate him would be entirely too mild a punishment. Yet after the numerous hints we have given such knock-kneed, dirty-faced, slovt nly louts, there are a few ho for the want of common sense, continue their visits to the Clarion office.
