Allen Of Kansas For -International Ideals. League of Nations HIGH SCHOOL NEWS -0- The next number of the Lecture Course will be on Monday night Mar. 1st. Mr. Walter Burr of the Kansas State Agriculture College will lecture' on "Wanted A High School Graduate." The caste of character of the High School Play, "The Time Of His Life" met Wednesday night for rehearsal.

Miss Swanson has found her place among us as a capable and efficient instructor in her subjects, very much with lots of interest in her work. The attendance in the Junior High and Senior high school has almost reached normal again. There were more in attendance than there has been the last two weeks and we hope that the other Flu victims will soon return. The County Nurse was here from Holton last Thursday giving inoculation against flu and pneumonia to the pupils and the people of Delia who desire it. Each person is to take four inoculations of the serum.

The nurse is to come on the next four Thursdays so anyone who missed out on the first inoculation can still get the complete course. A thrift program will be given by the Senior and Junior high school students during the National Thrift week in March. Considering the high cost of living we feel this is about the best kind of program we could possibly give. An interesting program was given by the Freshmen last Thursday afternoin in honor of Lincoln's birthday. The "Flu" didn't get the best of Miss Gardiner.

She was back in school Monday morning after her few days Illness, with the same jolly laugh' and giving as hard lessons as ever. Caroline Worthington was absent from school Monday and Tuesday on account of the death of her aunt. The Modern Health. Crusade which is a part of the Junior Red Cross work is being carried on quite suecessfully among the children of. the Junior High School.

The Health Crusade is an inter-, state contest for the learning and practicing of good hygienic methods There are ten health chores each child tries to do every day for a period of weeks. A Modern Crusade Button will be given each pupil who will try to make a good record and a A gold filled pin will be given to those pupils who make a ninety per cent grade in keeping the health scores dur ing the ten weeks. At the end of ten weeks the records will be checked up by the teachers and then sent to the County office. HEARD IN THE HALLS Senior to the Sophomore--You lazy thing put on your coat. Junior- Is your arm still sore? Freshman-Yes but that's bettern than having the Flu again.

Wehner Son GROCERIES Delia, Kansas. OBITUARY George Graham, son of F. M. Grahham and Florence Graham was born in Harrison county Mo. Jan.

15, 1883, Died at Del Norte, Feb. 13, 1920 being 37 years and 29 days old. At the age of four years he moved with his parents to Wichita, and from there to Jackson County in' 1896 and from there he moved with his par ents to Del Norte, Colo. in the 1917 where he resided until his death. He was united in marriage to Viola Edna Lynde Feb.

17, 1907 in a little less than three years she was called A home. In the year 1918 he was again married to Edith Lemon of Wamego, Kansas. To this union was born one daughter and two sons, Willa, Merrill and Marion. He leaves to mourn his decease: a wife, three children, father mothr, four brothers, Claud, Carl, Ray and Lee and two sisters, Mrs. Maud Mosher of Leoti, Kans.

and Mrs. Flossie Wyatt of Omaha, besides a host of friends. The body was brought here and the funeral was preached at the Olive Branch U. B. church by Rev.

W. A. Manion He followed a text from Job 14 chapter and 14 verse and Romans 2 chapt 7 th. verse. Songs sang were; Nearer My God to Thee, All to Jesus I surrender and In the Sweet By and By.

Interment was made in the Olive Branch Cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank our neighbors and friends for their sympathy and thoughtfulness and many deeds of kindnesss towards us in our sorrow and bereavement and for this help and beautiful floral offerings. Those sending flowers were Roy and Claude Miller, George Paul Kovar, and Olive Branch friends. Mr. and Mrs.

Ernest Grubb of Topeka, Adam Weiss and L. L. Chaslain of Del Norte, Colo. Mr. and Mrs John Wyatt of Omtaha, Nebr.

Graham, Mr. and Mrs Claude Graham, Mr and Mrs Lee Graham, Carl Graham and Roy Graham OBITUARY Rebecca Wilson was born in Cataw-1 ta, North Carolina on April 3, 1842, she came to Perry, Kansas at the age of 23 and was united in marriage to Alfred Pinkey Rdmon, a civil war on Sept. 30, 1869. They came to Jackson County, Kan. in the spring of1873-buying a home one mile north of Adrian.

There were only 500 families within miles of their home. There they reared their family of seven children enduring the hardships and privations of a frontier life. They were honored and respected by all who knew them and their home was always open to friends and strang 'ers. Mrs. Redmon was ever a willing and helpful hostess.

It was here that Mr. Redmon died on Nov. 4, 1901. Mrs Redman staid on the old place for a few years then moved to Iowa for 4 years and has since lived in Delia. Two of the children, Harriet Lillian and Sarah Belle preceded her to the life beyond--four, Edward and Thomas and Almena Keller live near Delia, and Maud Benedict lives at Watson, Mo.

They were all with her during her last illness and ministered to her every want. Mrs. Redmon united with the Baptist church at the age of 13, she had great love for church and Savior. LOST- A 34x4 inch tire Feb. 9.
