Entered as second-class matter Jan uary 31, 1918, at the post office at An ordinance granting to The Central Kansas Power Company, its successors t)and assigns, the right to transmit, deliver, distribute and sell electric current in and to the city of Brookville, Kansas, and the inhabitants thereof, for the purpose of furnishing electric current and lights to said city and its inhabitants, and to use and occupy the streets, alleys and public grounds of said city for the erection and maintenance of poles, wires and conduits; and contracting with the said The Central Kansas Power Company, its successors and assigns, for the lighting of the streets and public buildings and grounds of said city. Sec. 2. That to this end and for this purpose, said grantee, its successors, and assigns, is hereby permitted to use the streets, alleys and public grounds of said city, for the purpose of erecting poles, stretching wires and laying conduits for the delivery, transmission and distribution of such electric current. All such poles are to be located so as to interfere as little as possible with the public use of such streets and alleys and at the direction of 8 A.
