Mrs. W. Harris of Spring Hill, once a resident of Ocheltreo, died at her home Wednesday and was interred in the Spring Hill cemetery Thursday. Mr. Harris has many friends in Ocheltreo who mourn with him in his sad bereavement.

Hamilton's. The twin boys of Mr. and Mrs. Nute Turner have had about one hundred callers this week. The Clattawa Grangers are preparing for a grand picnic on August 17 at Tom Turner's grove.

N. Aiusworth Sunday. Miss Grace Stevenson, who has been visiting her relatives in the country for several weeks returned to Olathe Monday. Dun can, iuursday. Rev. W. B. Fisher preached quite an interesting sermon at Bethel Sunday afternoon.

Miss Wilma Grooms of Olathe is spending the week with A. L. Evin- ger and wife. Will and Ben Moll and Miss Eva Grooms were the guests of Miss Alice Duncan Sunday evening. Uur skimming station is doing a good business at present.

They are receiving about pounds of milk per day. Clark Elston has a new bike and is getting to be quite a wheelman. The next time he buys it will be a bicycle built for two. Pack and Poulson pulled their threshing machine into the neighborhood last week and are now threshing for Jim Elston. John Paris of Olathe and daughter Phebe, lately of New Jersey, and George Paris and wife were visiting Henry Paris of Pioneer Sunday.

Hugh Holland makes a trip regular every Sunday' to Gardner. He says he is afraid he will forget how the town looks from Saturday night until Monday morning. Jerusalem. Fred Hunt visited his brother Will, Saturday evening. Al Frame has a large match team of iron grey horses now.

Mrs. -Jane Mascho of Olathe visit ed relatives here Saturday. Mrs. E. Horn and little daughters of Olathe visited at Jerusalem Satur day.

A merry crowd gathered at George Rosner's Saturday night and had a social dance. William Victor and family of Ok lahoma are visiting Mr. Victor's relatives here this week. Mrs. S.

Frame of Jerusalem made short visit with Dan Harrington at Gardner one day last week. Mrs. Maggie Redinger is quite badly poisoned about the hands and face caused by hunting for turkey nests along the hedges where poison ivy grew. Subscribe for the News-Herald- Highland. Threshing season is over.

Mrs. Burbridge was hi Kansas City Thursday. We are all glad to see Miss Carrie Shean home again. Grandma Shean is visiting with Mrs. Sponable of Gardner.

Hoy Burbridge left last Thursday for St. Louis where he will spend a few weeks with his uncle, Rob Stock-myer.
