J. Tegethoff gave a dancing party at H. C. Tegethofi's home, last Saturday night, in honor of Mrs. Mary Aulten-baumer and daughters who are here from Central City, 111., Light refreshments were served, and all had a fine time.

Quite a few from here have been attending the Barnes Chautauqua every day. Earnest Ballard has marketed 225 dozen sweet corn during the past ten days, all from three-quarters of an acre. With what he used himself, he figures its value at $50 per acre; pretty good for a dry summer. Grover Hearn is at this writing at Earl Ballard's, threshing. Geo.

Bettles is at Joe Farner's; he yet has Tony Donivau's, then his shock threshing will be over with. John Mullin and Ward Dalrymple threshed on Tuesday.
