16 THE MERCHANTS JOURNAL of Burnet Limbird, has purchased the interest of F. F. Clarkson and J. E. Couch in tho Modern Grocery and with II.

L. Marts will constitute tho new firm after January first. Mr. Marts is ono of the oldest grocers in the city and Mr. Limbird formerly owned tho same store.

Nickerson. M. L. Howard has sold his grocery stock to J. P.

Miller who is now in chargo of tho storo and will continue tho business at tho same stand. Ladore. It is announced that Wilson Laws has purchased a butcher shop in Parsons, Kan. Salina. Tho Lindeman Brothers' Grocery storo has opened for business in new quarters on South Santa Fo avenue in tho building formerly occupied by tho Hostick bakery.

Burrton. Grant Carey has sold his meat market to Hardee Shacklett of Patterson. Alta Vista. Walter Mangus has opened a meat market here. Clayton.

S. Gruewill, a registered pharmacist of Station, has become the owner of the 0. P. Ecord Drug Store here. Drug Co.

has been purchased by J. V. Stivers, of Stafford, Kan. Whito City.Tho Nelson Meat Market has changed hands. S.

A. Tull is the new proprietor. He will take possession Jan. 1st. Lamed.

W. M. Estes has purchased the Boiseau Ss Wickwiro stock of dry-goods formerly ownod by A. T. Garthe.

Downs. Tho Crist-IIettingcr stock of general merchandise has been sold at a bankrupt sale to tho Harlow Mercantile Company, Chapman. E. J. Johnson has purchased the Wadrick Hardware Ss Implement stock.

Mayetta. Tho Mayetta Drug with 0. A. Noel, manager, has purchased tho R. L.

Birkett drug stock. Marquette. The Home Mercantile Company is tho name of a new concern here. Mr. Ostberg will be in charge of tho business.

Natoma. Hahn Brothers, of Osborn, have sold their stock of general merchandise to G. and 0. P. Kosher of Kansas City.

The firm name will be the Kosher Department Store. Ottawa. The Hub Clothing Company has been chartered with $8,000 capital stock by W. A. Schwart, Louisburg, M.

B. Cohn, Kansas City. and Henry Durst, Ottawa, Kan. Wamego. II.

W. Russell, of Manhattan, has purchased an interest in the Forrester Bros. Ss Summers Hardware store. Lyndon. The partnership existing under the firm name of the Lyndon Hardware Co.

has been dissolved. Liberal. G. F. Blake, of Goodwell, has leased the Tucker building formerly sold his interest in tho Texhoma Drug Company to Dr.

Akers of Plainview, Texas. Shawnee. Tho Boston Grocery Company has been chartered with $4,000 capital stock by C. E. and E.

C. Mom-and and others. Cleveland. Floyd Greenfield has purchased tho interest of 13. B.

Burnett in the grocery business and tho new firm will bo Greenfield Barnett, Robert Barnett retaining an interest. Collinsville. W. E. Gideon of Nowata, Oklahoma has purchased the mercantile stock of II.

C. Downey. Frederick. J. W.

Price and W. F. Downs have gone into partnership and aro now conducting a restaurant on Grand Avenue. Wann. J.

C. Osborn has purchased the Jeff Harp grocery stock and fixtures and is now in charge. Mr. Wann was formerly part owner of tho Warner-Myers Hardware store. Ada.

J. J. Dodd will retire from the grocery business and has sold his store to J. L. Brown who recently moved here from Denison.

The store will be known as Brown's C. 0. D. Grocery. Beaver.

A. J. Shelton has sold his meat market to J. A. Ewing and H.

C. Steinpfad, who will continue the business under tho firm name of Ewing Steinpfad. Frederick. V. L.

Shof er and Fritz Young have purchased the Tipton Meat Market of Walter Smith. Magnum. George E. Clark, proprietor of the K. C.

Store, announces that he will retire from the retail mercantile business in Mangum, January first. Custer. J. H. Pyeatt has sold his occupied by Lowis Ward and will same with a stock of dry goods.

Opolis. Tho Mutual Mercantile Company has been granted a charter. It is capitalized at $15,000. Kingman. 0.

Shelley will engago in the grocery business at Winfield, Kan. and has removed to that place. Strong City. Charles Hofmann will reopen his meat markot here soon. Dexter.

E. M. Lundy has sold his interest in tho meat market to William Winters, of Cambridge, Kan. Preston. Holland Daley have sold their interest in the meat market to Evert Long.

Russell. W. II. Oliver has purchased George Harbaugh's interest in the meat market. Bo is now conducting it alone.

Sedan. Wintermuto Floyd have sold their meat market to Gilman Edgerton, the new firm being composed of C. A. Gilman and Ed Edgerton. Nekoma.

Rudolph Maresch has opened a new grocery store here. Humboldt. George M. Reynolds has purchased an interest in the T. F.

Cline grocery store. Caldwell. George Frasier has leased the Palace Meat Market and is now in possession. Hutchinson. Lawrence Hoffman, of Nickerson, will open a grocery store on North Washington street.

Coffeyville. Charles R. Young, who has been conducting a grocery in the Metropolitan building on East Eighth street for several months, is moving the stock to the corner of Walnut and New streets into the building just vacated by the Howe Grocery. Anthony. E.

Robinson has disposed of his interest in the grocery business to his forme partner B. H. Moore. Fairfax. Akins Quarles have a new meat market in the old Newport Cafe building.

Claremore. J. T. Ault, ono of the proprietors of tho Owl Drug Store has traded his interest in that store to a Mr. McCown of Cordell, Okla.
