Sfew peaches of home growth are in market. There are twenty-three postoffices in this county. Peaches can be raised in three years from the seed. This county contains as fine agricultural land as any in the State. County Superintends Whaley reports a yield of 28 bushels of wheat per acre.

Ellsworth county will probably pro tlucc 1,000,000 bushels of wheat next year. The geographical center of this State is within ten miles of the city of Ells Worth. Commercial Block, Ellsworth, is one of the handsomest business blocks in the State. There are forty-one school districts in the Ellsworth county, and new ones are growing. The prices of dry groceries, furniture, arc about the same here in the cast.

Ellsworth has a fine location and will coon be one of the prettiest towns on the K. P. railroad. This State is settling up so rapidly that it will certainly have a population of one million in 1880. Kansas occupies a central position in the Union and her natural advantages tnake her worthy of the honor.

The New York Herald aaxiorcsly inquires, "Is prosperity athand? 11 Come to Kansas, and you will find that it is. Our people believe in free schools, free churches and freedom in all things that good men desire to believe or pos sess. If the U. S. capital should ever be located in the center of the Union it would be withiu seventy-five miles of Ellsworth.

Ellsworth county has good building stone in abundance. It is largely used in the construction of buildings in town and country. Box elder and cottonwood trees have already made a growth this season of seven feet, and still the shoots are reaching higher. There are townships in this county that three years ago did not contain five families where now there is no Government land vacant or railroad land for sale. Hon.

"Welcome Wells, of Pottawatomie county, has a forty-acre orchard that gave him a revenue of $4,000 in 1S76, and $5,000 in 1377. Mr. Wells assures the Tribune that in his crop of 1376, not a worm-eaten specimen was found. No State in the Union is more liberal in sustaining public schools than Kan sas. Her school fund is princely, and education is made conpukory by law.

In our long residence in Ellsworth we have yet to find a single person who has expressed dissatisfaction with any of the natural advantages of the county. There are four things in which this State excells viz Good roads, pure water, rich soil, a healthy climate. These conditions are sufficient to build up any Wild grapes are found in great abundance in this county, as arc also wild plums. If these fruits grow wild so abundantly, they can be successfully cultivated. Hogs are now "being shipped from Kansas City to St.

Louis by river. The navigation of the Missouri is destined to be very extensive and of much benefit to the farmers of this State. There is considerable territory in the eastern portion of this county that is particularly adapted to stock-raising. To any one wishing to encage in this profitable business, we offer special in ducements.

No finer stock country can be found in the Sate. Wiggin Sprigg have several fine fer sale cheap. No better society can be found in any State than that found right here. Our population is made up mostly from people from all the Northern States, and among the men who are cultivating Jhe soil are many college graduates. We have not less than a score of minis ters and editors who are now leading an independent life on their farms.

And our ladies are as cultivated and refined as can be found in any city. The Kansas City Journal, of Sunday morning, says that Albert Crane, of Durham Park, passed through that city Saturday. He had with him six thoroughbred cattle, which he was tak ing tolEngland. These cattle were vain ued All but two of them were bred in Kansas, and regarded by Mr. Crane as the equal, if not better than English-bred cattle.
