THE TRIPLE TIE ADVOCATE. a list of the councils that have added members under this dispensation, and we hope that every council will appear in that list, and again brothers and sisters we appeal to you to see that your council stands well up in the list. Have your secretary order supplies and get ready for work in December. DEATH CLAIMS PAID. Last night at council meeting we proposed that Council No.

2 make arrangements to iuitiate a class of 25 members November 27th and we proposed to secure one-half of the applications if the other members would get the other half and they accepted the proposition, and they must do it, as we al ready.have-seven and three weeks yet to go on. Burlington council appointed two members to choose sides for the work, the party securing the most applications to be banqueted and the other side to be the waiters. The supper or banquet is to be given at the first meeting in December. Supreme President Woodford and another brother were barred from working on either side, and these two have undertaken, by themselves, to secure more applications during the month than all the other members of the couucil. Our candid opinion is that they will not succeed.

This dispensation promises great results it appears to have struck a popular chord the way the councils and members are responding. We had a dispensation two years ago covering the months of November and December but it was not half as liberal as this dispensation, yet under it we issued 227 certificates in November and 949 in December, a total of 1 176 for the two months, and under this dispensation we should double that number. The dispensation of two years ago was not nearly so popular on the start as this one is. We did not receive one letter about it to where we receive ten about this one. The letters announcing this dispensation were mailed October 28th and it will be observed kthat many of the letters ordering cards were dated the 30th and 31st.

Just 6 days after the letters were mailed The following death claims were paid during the month of October, 1905: No. .201, Joseph P. Stukey of Hartford Council No. 8, Hartford, certificate No. 358; age 52 years; cause of death, paralysis; became a member September, 1896; died Aug.

29, 1905; paid Oct. 18, 1905; $2000. No. 202, Nancy A. Mathies of Newton Council No.

10, Newton, certificate No. 1907; age 56 years; cause of death, acute bronchitis; became a member May, 1898; died Sept. 7, 1905; paid Oct. 2, 1905; $1500. No.

203, Delia E.Sharpe of Conine Council No. 37, certificate No. 8026; age 27 years; cause of death, gastric ulcer; became a member December, 1903; died Sept. 6, 1905; paid Oct. 18, 1905; $1500.

No. 204, Sarah A. Cook of Burlington Council No. 24, Burlington, certificate No. 1424; age 55 years; cause of death, valvular disease of heart; became a member June, 1898; died Sept.

6, 1905; paid Oct. 18, 1905; $1500. No. 205, Charlie F. Harris of Garnett Council No.

51, Garnett, certificate No. 9842; age 18 years; cause of death, bronchitis; became a member April, 1904; died Sept. 21, 1905; paid Oct. 18, 1905; $1000. Partial disability claims paid in October, 1905: No.

3, Elmer Vivian Doran of Fort Scott Council No. 32, Fort Scott, certificate No. 9502; 1000. Loss of right foot above the ankle; paid Oct. 18, 1905, 236.23; deductions $13.77.

The November payment is due and must be paid on or before the last day of the month. Order special application cards and examination blanks. Coffeyville council again orders special application cards, this time loo and 100 examination blanks and folders." This begins to look serious, the first 50 must have been all used up. Novembe2nd Bro. Heuston of Stillwater, writes "I believe it is a good plan, it gets all of the members at work.

I believe we will double our membership." November 3d Dr. Fillmore, secretary of Blue Rapids council sends a "hurry up" order for 50 cards. Bro. Reitzel, secretary of Waterville council, orders cards and other supplies and is ready for business. Sister Harriger, secretary of Arcadia council, ordered some cards and November 4th writes us "Last night at our regular meeting we balloted on 27 applicants.

Send more cards and examination blanks as I only have a few left." We have had numerous other requests for cards, folders, etc. but lack of space prevents giving them in detail. If any of the councils permit this opportunity' to build up and add new members, to pass without helping them any they will have our sympathy; only that and nothing more. Sometimes members say "I never heard of this in time." "If I had known it I could have etc. The secretary did not read it at our meeting." Sometimes this will pass because it is true, but my dear brother and you too my dear sister, none of these things will pass muster this time, because we put this proposition squarely up to each and every one of you, we laid it on your table, we handed it right to you, or at least we made the necessary arrangements with your Uncle Samuel to do so, and he always does things right.

If your council does not grow it is not our fault, no not in the least, it will simply be the fault of yourself and the other members of the council, you must assume the responsibility, because you know what we have offered. You know what we want to do and when you read this paper you will know that most of the councils are wide awake and are up and doing. If any of the councils have not taken any action on the dispensation we want to ure them to do so at once, bring the matter up at the first meeting of the council. Any member can have it called up. Make a motion to instruct the secretary to order special application cards, medical examination blanks, folders, etc.

and get ready for business. Two three or more members can get together and agree to make an effort to secure a class of 25 new members, then get out and see people that are not members, present the proposition to them and you can get them. The writer left his office today at 11:30 and returned at 12:05 wtn three applications and two of these had not been spoken to about the matter before. He cannot always do as well as this probably, in fact does not hope to, but no one knows what they can do until they try. We would suggest that the first thing to little Arcadia council balloted on 27 applicants.

Nothing like this occurred two years ago. FINANCIAL STATEMENT. RECEIPTS. Cash balance with supreme treasurer Oct. 1 $14,901 0 Cash collected for month of October 5,817 18 Cash received from deductions for R.

E. funds. 358 15 Cash received for interest on loans. 132 25 In all probability this is the last dispensation of this kind that will ever be offered by the Triple Tie, the writer will promise to not favor another one and he feels safe in saying that the other members of the Advisory board feel the same about it. Membership in the Triple Tie has a cash value.

We have $7 in cash for each member of the order and it is steadily increasing. We want to add 2000 members by the last day of December, want every member to assist in doing this, we must have their assistance or we cannot accomplish it. We appeal to each and every member to take hold of this dispensation and help us to make it a grand success. Will you do it? If you will respond to this appeal in all probability others will respond and the results will be assured. Every member added strengthens the order and by helping to increase the membership you add to the value of your own certificate.

The capital of fraternal orders is its members, consequently when we increase our membership we increase our capital. Total $21,208 67 DISBURSEMENTS. Death claims paid-Nancy A.
