At last the Kansas primary law has been made partially foolproof, that is, if Gov. Allen shows the good judgment to sign the Hasty Mann Bill which today passed the Senate by a of 3 to 7 after having received about the proportionate majority in the house. The passage of this bill was cause for great rejoicing in the ranks of the real Republicans who Still have painfully in mind the raid made on the G. 0. P.

in the fall primary by the Socialists, Nonpartisan Leaguers and other nondescripts, how they dragged a man out of the insane asylum and ran him for governor on the republican primary ballot; how an I. W. W. attorney got his name on the same ballot for another high state office. The N.

P. Leaguers like the cukoo, lay their eggs only in other nests, and by this bill, the legislature has made it a little' more difficult for these political vultures to lay their red eggs in the Republican nest. Iola Register. As will be noted, the above article was prepared by. "Zim," which is the short name for Phil, former Linds-borg bolshevik hunter, and all-around "100 per who is at present field secretary for the Kansas Employers' association.

In view of the fact that the governor has vetoed this bill, it is agreed that the Ha3ty bill was altogether too much so, and that newspaper career was projected in a Hasty manner.
