Judd. The banquet was served at Mc-Mlnlmy's cafe. There were fifty-six seated at the table. The members of the lodge took great pride in showing their fine regalia to their visitors. The Odd Fellows of Kingman the first of the month moved into their past and all had a good time.

If Scott City lodge No. 290 continues during the year as it has started out it will be a record breaker as we have taken in six members since the first of the year. L. Fulton acted as master of ceremonies and everyone had a run for the fun in sight. The attendance was large rnd indicates a very healthy condition of the lodge. and one or two other orders will move into tbe hall being vacated by the Odd Fellows, in the Courier block. The Odd Fellows have occupied their old quarters in the Courier block nearly 22 years, and for a time they will feel somewhat lonesome or out of place in their new quarters.

-o The Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Mound City bad joint installation of officers on January 18. About 100 were present. A very fine musical program was rendered by the Ladies quartette, consisting of Mrs. Estella Marsh, Mrs. Floyd Paul, Miss Martha Hays and Miss Margaret Jones.

Robert Kells was installed and now occupies the vice grand's chair. The lodge starts off on the new year with the brightest of prospects. The Odd Fellows of Plainville held their installation ceremonies January 15. The ceremonies were public to Odd Fellows and their families. The Installation was given by the district deputy after which an introductory address was given by Jonas Sandberg followed by Rev.

J.W. Blundon.of Salina, with the address of the evening. Light refreshments were served by the epicure committee. E. F.

Shields financial secretary of Isabel lodge No. 516 writes, that one W. P. Osborne claiming to be a member of Isabel lodge is asking assistance of sister lodges and receiving the same. There has never been any such person a member of Isabel lodge.

The installing officer was J.H. Cook, district deputy. After the ceremonies the lodge banqueted at the Gem restaurant. Tbe lodge has secured several new applications for membership and it is a very progressive condition. The regular meeting of the 1.

0. 0. F. of Valley Falls at their lodge room January 2, was attended by a large number, the installation of officers followed by an oyster supper being in the order of business. They may be Odd in name but they have a good time like other people in their great work of making the world happier, says the Vindicator.

The subordinate and Rebekah lodge of Mankato held joint installation of their officers on January 11. There was a good attendance and they all partook of refreshments at a neighboring restaurant. J. B. Dressier is N.

The drill was conducted splendidly and the ladies performed their part with the utmost precision and caused many remarks of a favorable nature. After the drill the next thing in order was the sumptions repast. Prairie Rose encampment at Iola installed the following officers C. A. Iliff; H.

McFife J. W. M. Knapp. After the installation, there was work in the Golden Rule degree which was followed with an oyster supper.

The floor was then cleared and a fine dance enjoyed. A special feature of the evening was one dance in which no one but the grey headed representatives of the gathering participated. L. Shore of this lodge died and was buried by the lodge. February 6, 1906, Clara Barton Rebekah lodge gives there ban quet to the Odd Fellows children. January 80, Sister Hattie Luce will lead 20 or more Rebekahs to Lamed to the Rebekah school of instruction and we anticipate a. fine time as the Rebekahs of Larned are fine entertainers.

The members of the Odd Fellow lodge of Onaga, had quite a blow-out January 6. After the installation of officers, a supper, which was prepared by the Odd Fellows themselves, was served. The members of the Rebekah order and a few others being invited. A good time was had, and the Rebekahs say the supper was "out of sight" especially when all had finished eating. The supper and entertainment given by the members of Frankfort I.

0. 0. F. lodge to their wives and a few Invited friends, January 6, was a pronounced success. The occasion was the installation of the officers of the lodge for the new year, and while the services were not public; the visitors were allowed the use of the bekahs had a joint public Installation.

After the regular business meeting of the Odd Fellows the Rebekahs were invited in and they proceeded to install the newly elected officers into office. The Odd Fellows installed and then the Rebekahs. The work was fine and was finished up in about two hours. After the new officers were placed in office the lodge closed and all were invited to the dining room where an oyster supper with all the necessary accessories, was served. After the supper the sixty or seventy ladies and gentlemen engaged in social conversation until -it was time to go home.

After installation an oyster supper was served by the Odd Fellows. The local order of Odd Fellows of Moran made a bargain recently, for the purchase of the two story brick building on the corner of the block south of the postoffice. The building has been owned by the Interstate Mortgage Trust of Parsons, for several years, the company taking it for a mortgage it gave on the building and which was never paid. The price paid is $1200. D.

Gordon, secretary of No. 290, writes: "One of the most enjoyable events of the season was an oyster supper and social gathering given under the auspice of the Odd 'Fellows of Scott City lodge No. 290, at their hall in Scott City in the evening of January 18, 1900. Are you doing the best you can to make this the banner year for Odd Fellowship in Kansas? I will say that St. John lodge No. 589 is working to that end we gave two candidates the third degree, received one by card and have four candidates for the initiation the first Monday night in February.

Our lodge is cal'ed to order promptly on time and the business of the evening disposed with punctuality and dispatch. We have good Interest and Masonic hall until the lodge adjourned, where they were entertained with musio by the Frankfort orchestra un- good order. Our regular attendance is from 85 to 40 and from 1 to 5 vial (Continued on 6th page.).
