Messrs T. J. Burgess and J. E. Parkes completed the organization of a Knights and Ladies of Security lodge in our city last Wednesday evening with 40 members, and closed the charter.

These great credit for their untiring effort's in getting a lodge organized; they met with some serious obstacles, but through their tenacity of will they overcame them all, and today wo have one of the strongest fraternal insurance orders in town. Mrs. Nusbaum has been suffering with a sore hand tho past week. Ahcrt Nusbaum had his foot injured by a horse stepping on It. The young ToIks had a jrathering at Dave Iiarnish's, Thursday night. The Methodists will soon begin work on their new parsonage at Blue Hill.

Jacob Brown and his best girl were taking in the sights around Lone Hill Sunday. Road overseer, John Marzolf, has been grading the roads of this section the past week. Albert Nusbaum and R. W. Brown attended a League meeting at Mt.

Streetcr last Thursday night. The recent dry weather has damag' cd the wheat of this section some. We hope it may rain before long. Quito a number of Excelsior people attended the Anniversary of tho Ep- worth League, at Blue Hill, Sunday The county surveyor was in this section. Thursday, surveying tho ieiunian grave yard, which will soon be fenced and improved otherwise.

Coxev. Fifth Anniversary of the Epworth Lestae, at Blue Hill. The Excelsior, Blue Hill, Mount Streetcr and Pleasant Hill Leagues observed the 5th Anniversary of the organization of the Epworth League at Blue II1I1, Sunday May 13. The Junior League wf Mt. Streetcr came in a load and brought thei dinners with them, which they ate the school house.

The Junior League of Mt. Streetcr gave an interesting exercise under the direction of Mrs Coburn. R.

W. Brown, of Excelsio Chapter, had charge of the program and was assisted by the presidents of the other Chapters. The Blue Hi Chapter had decoratedjHie school house with mottoes and flowers. All seemed to enjoy the exercises and before separating joined in sing ing tho League "Battle Hymn." Much credit is due all who aided in making the occasion it success, and undoubtedly they feel well paid for their efforts. Reporter.
