Charley Aldrich said in his ranting speech before about half a dozen Republicans Thursday night, ovejal the Rice school-honse in Cedar township, that he had rather see the government of the United States go to ruin under the Southern Democracy, than to see H. He Is our VETERINARY SURGEON, jmade a full legal tender for all purposes for whichanf "other raouey ds a legal tender, and to be issued Nobody says that he was guilty of any dishonesty, but many entertain very grave suspicions that he might have been. The facts from which these sus-picions originated, we will briefly state so far as we know. Mr. Brisbin was Treasurer of the Association, and it was his duty to receive and handle the proceeds or the fair, and other money tnat might legitimately become the properly of the Association. There was an admittance fee of twenty-five cents charged at the gate for every person (except a few colh-plimentaries) entering the grounds during the last two days of the fair, and Mr.

Brisbin in person, attended to the main gate. Some estimate the attendance for the two days at four thousand; but suppose it only two thousand, the gate money should be five hundred dollars- Mr. Brisbin only accounted for about one hundred and eighty four dollars and on being told by the President, Mr. Cummings, that there ought to be more money than that, and that there must be something wrong somewhere. Mr.

Brisbin was going to knock Mr. Cummings' teeth down his throat, but from some cause, didn't do it. If there was only about seven hundred and fifty persons at the fair during the last two days, which would be only about three hundred and seventy-five for each day. Mr. Brisbin is nvt to blame fur the scantiness of the gate money- But yt the Democrats have nominated JACK MURRAY him for Sheriff.1 He is afraid if he declines nobody will vote for him as an independent candidate, and TINWARE STUDEBAKER WAGONS.
