m. Preaching at 8: p.m. We will attend the childrens day program at the Baptist church next Sunday morning at 11:00 o'clock. Last Sunday found our Sunday School Superintendent away on his honey-moon. The entire church and Sunday School extend to Mr.

and Mrs. Burford most hearty congratulations and best wishes. Every one from our constituency who managed to get to the childrens day program last Sunday--what do you say we make that an every Sunday occurence? What's to hinder? Honest what's to hinder? You can make every Sunday a childrens day by bringing the children to Sunday school. The Childrens day program was given last Sunday morning to a crowded house. This program was the best ever.

Each number was well rendered and all the children taking part showed the effects of the careful training they had been given by the faithful program committee. The offering amounted to $7.75 and it will be sent to the Board of Education of our church to be loaned by them to worthy young people who need it to aid them in the acquiring of a college education. Quite.a good number of our young men registered Tuesday. We sincerely hope and pray that none of them will be called upon to lay down their lives on the battle front, i this war can be settled and the cause of rightenous advanced without such a sacrifice. But it the foes of the world insist that the right or wrong of a thing shall be determined by the sword of steel instead of the sword of the spirit, then everv true American and every true Christian who believes in the final triumph of righteousness must stand ready to unsheath his sword to make possible that triumph.
