13 THE IMPLEMENT-HARDWARE BULLETIN Winterset and T. F. Wherry of Des Moines were the Association officials in attendance at the services. il-DA Iowa Association Department AddreNN communications for this department to T. P.

Wherry, Secretary, Des Moines, Iowa. DC What is the Iowa Implement Dealers' Association? It is a big, powerful body, which no man or group of men will ever dominate. It is non-partisan' and non-sectarian. It voices the opinion of a membership composed of all shades of thought cetered on the success of one commercial activity. The officers of this Association are putting on a campaign in Iowa for membership.

The little intensive campaign during April and May has pushed the Association nearer its final expectancy, but we expect the June campaign to reach a period of saturation in membership that will be satisfying to the officers. New members for the month of May are as follows C. H. Reinholdt Manning V. H.

Merrif ield, Quimby Blosser Son, Moulton B. W. Weidemier, Leon Promise City Implement Promise City McGhee Bussey Frank Krysan, Calmar Swanson Gosch, Schaller P. R. Clausen, Ogden Stacyville Implement Stacyville.

Poole Nichols, Iowa, have sold their stock of implements to J. A. Lamp, of Springdale, Iowa. Chesmore Randall have disposed of their implement business at Independence, Iowa, to Edward Miller. The implement dealers of Iowa have not yet done their full duty to this Association but this will be rectified some day.

In the meantime the Association expects to go on saving its members money on insurance and furnishing twelve other good and important benefits besides doing the best task in the improvement of the industry of which it is capable. The greatest achievement yet accomplished by any Association is the placing upon the statute books of the state such laws as are to the best interests of its members. The Iowa Implement Dealers' Association has accomplished this result and what greater thing could be done for Iowa dealers? Trovson Bray have sold their stock of hardware and implements at Hanlontown, Iowa, to Oren Hogen. B. W.

Weidemeier is successor to J. R. Bowsher, Leon, Iowa. This is one of the large implement stocks of, Iowa and we glad that Mr. Bowsher has transferred his interests into such good hands.

Mr. E. P. Armknecht and wife, Donnellson, Iowa, attended the graduation exercises at Annapolis during the first week of June. They have a son attending the naval academy.

If the members desire a Sale and Exchange Bulletin printed for July it will be necessary for them to mail the list they want to advertise so it will reach the office of the secretary not later than July ist. I I FOR STEELWOOD OR (mgm ml wf 11 -SiCSy Jfel tS II UQGEACK WHEELS pEVEN WCHAS Many of the manufacturers who preached optimism to the implement dealers of Iowa last December, have during the past month closed up their Iowa branch houses and retired the salesmen on a vacation without pay. It is the plan of this Association to hold group meetings over the state during the coming year. At the present time the state is divided into six districts with a director in each district, and it is thought advisable to hold the group meetings at some central location in each district. It will not be long before hay making is on in earnest.

It is with great sadness we chronicle the death of Mrs. Conway, who passed to the great beyond Friday evening, June 3, 1921, at her home in Creston, Iowa. Mrs. Conway was the wife of our Mr. Matt Conway.

The funeral services were held forenoon, June 6, and the large attendance bore evidence of her numerous friends, Mr. C. R. Peters of.
