Mrs. Sara "Woods Mears was born in "Westmoreland on Dec. 2, 181S and died at her home in EIReno, O. Sept. 20, 1900, nearly 82 years of age.

April 11, 1838, she was married to James Mears, who departed from this life on July 28, 1895, at the age of nearly SO years. The fruit of this union was eight children three sons and five daughters six of whom still survive her. YV Tousley in "Wichita and also with Mrs. Leighton, another daughter at EIReno.

For twenty-eight years the deceased was a member of the Baptist church, but in 1879 she united with the Church of Christ, remaining a faithful christain to the end. Thus we chronicle the death of an old respected citizen, and a dear loving mother, whose place can never be filled by another and we join a host of friends in extending sympathy "to the sorrow stricken relatives.
