Mrs. May Kier's birthday incurring on the 19th it was concluded to celebrate both at the game time.

Nearly sixty persons were present, and merrier lot never before congregated in one, Each' vied with the, other making the evening one grand round of pleasure and enjoyment. Games and plays of various kinds were participated. in and as nearly everyone' took part considerable amusement resulted therefrom. Refreshments were served at 11. p.m.

The occassion was one long to be remembered, and we join with the many present in wishing both Maggie and May many pleasant returns of the clay. There seems to be a difference in opinion among our people regarding the opening of the Strip but all seem inclined to accept the inevitable whatever it may be. The Hunnewell Rustler, a neat five-column quarto, with Harry E. Bird as editor, is the latest newspaper venture in this county. Bird has our best wishes for the success of his enterpriseWellington Gazette. There seems to be a determination on the part of certain parties to burn ail the grass in the Strip, and if it be possible, to do stroy other property belonging to the cattlemen.
