M. Shivers and family have taken an overland route to Elk Creek, Nebraska, and will be gone about three weeks. Alvin Machmer and family are keeping house while they are gone. Eddie Gingrich met with quite a painful accident last Sunday while trying to ad just the chain on a bicycle. The flesh was taken off his thumb for about one inch and a cut ph his four fingers.

Two of the heroes of the Spanish war will be made happy. We congratulate them upan their good luck. On Saturday night a full inch of rain fell at Gatesville in about fifteen minutes and as a result hay will be better, kaffir corn much better and pastures much improved. The big revival meeting has closed and the big tent moved away. Large numbers of converts have been made and much good has been done, many souls have undoubtedly been saved.
