We only begin to see, in the midst of our leanness of bodily demonstrations, how great the grace of God toward us, personally, has been. Transition Peiiiod CnuRcn to Kingdom, No candid and thoughtful reader of the Bible has failed to observe that in the transition from Judaism to Christendom there was of necessity an over lapping of the Mosaic and Gospel Dispensations. The Law gave way gradually yet positively to the church. The forms and ceremonies of the Jewish altar service only received their death blow 70 years after Christ was born.

The reconstruction of God's plan of salvation was being effected while comparatively few people knew it. Scribes and Pharisees and officials in Judaism fought for what tliey thought was God's order when it was really out of date, entirely unconscious of the fact that it was actually the Gospel or Church age that they were living in. Who knew at the time what remarkable changes were being effected SPECIAL MEETINGS. The Brethren of Stark county, Ohio, will hold their Harvest Thanksgiving meeting at the Valley Chapel church on the 13th of August, at 2 p. m.

The meetings will be continued over Sunday. A Lovefeast will be held in county Oklahoma, on the 27 and 28th of August. ANNOUNCEMENT. We take pleasure in announcing to the readers of the Visitor, that Bro. W.

N. McCandlish and wife of the city of Omaha, Nebraska, in response to a call from God, have dedicated their home to him to be used as a divine healing and missionary training noME. Bro. and Sister McCandlish are earnest, devoted Christians, full of the Holy Ghost and faith, fully competent for the work to which God has called them. Any of God's little ones through or stopping in the city will be kindly received.

This city affords excellent opportunity for actual training for Missionaries and Gospel workers, in street, house to house, and slum work. This Home will be conducted strictly on the faith line, and should have the prayers and support of all God's children. All communications should be addressed to W. N. Dear reader: a similar transition of no less marked import and visible changes takes place when the "Times of the Gentiles" shall pointment for preaching services at our school-house in the evening. Here Bro Engle had the opportunity to spe'ak to quite an audience of hungry souls.

God wonderfully blessed the speaker with a message. We accept it as an answer to prayer to God that Bro. Engle remained. the answers we receive to prayer from God! We regretted very much that the Bro. could not stay longer.

God bless him and may heaven reveal the good done. Dear Editor, I am glad to tell you that the fire of God is burning in our midst. Sin is being exposed, hearts are convicted of sin, and church-members are seeing their dead condition and are awakening. We appeal to the Lord to send a man of God among us to help us. In about a month would be a suitable time to hold meetings.

Who will come and help us? A large field for labor is open here. We need a man full of the love of God and power. We praise God for victory! Pray for God's little ones in Missouri. Amen. f.

Pra i se the Lord Bro. Daniel Steckley, of Ramona, remained with us and has been conducting meetings live or six weeks. Also Bro. J. II.

Myers and wife, and Bro. N. T. Franklin assisting. We are glad for, the preached word that has been manifested, because it comes with mighty power from God, and has sent deep conviction in many hearts.

There have been over thirty that have made the wise choice and we give God the praise, because if it were of man it would be a total failure. I do not wish to exalt the Brethren, but I believe that the Lord sent those dear workers here. Bro. Steckley is still continuing the meetings, and my prayer is that God may give him wisdom and knowledge from on high to preach the true and pure gospel of Christ so that many may turn from their evil ways. We are glad also that he does not preach great swelling words that require the dictionary to explain; but it is the simple word of God, easy to be understood, and yet sharper thau any two-edged sword.

coming when the Gospel plan will be out of date and God will have instituted a new order of things and in the reconstruction will liave established a policy just as diverse from that of the church as the church was from Judaism? Did you know that in the next dispensation God will establish a Theocracy where government will absorb religion? Did you know that there is a time coming when the church and its purpose will be out of date? Did you know that this transition will be effected and comparatively few people will know it? Did it ever occur to you that the establishment of the Theocracy will be more bitterly contested even than was that of the Church? When do the "Times of the Gentiles" end, and when shall these things come to pass? Blessed is he that watchcth and keepeth his garments. Daniel said that the wise shall understand (comprehend) the signs of the times. Many indeed will be soabsorbed in the things of time and sense that that day (of the Lord) will overtake them as a thief it will be upon them and the Son will have assumed his rights in an hour that they have not been aware. lle who reigns within himself, and rules passions, desires, and fears, is more than a king. HUMANSVILLE, MO. BRO. EDITOR: The Lord moved upon the heart of Bro. acob Engle to stop with us on his return from Conference. Though his stay was very short (only two nights) yet it was to the glory of God we are sure.

The first night was our regular prayer-meeting evening, but on account of rain only a few met together; yet the Spirit of the Lord was with us. The next morning, Bro. and Sister Martin accompanied by Bro. Engle, Sister Lizzie Engle (daughter of Elder Jacob Engle of Sister Anna Bru-baker with her daughter Emma, together with the writer and wife proceeded to Bro. C.

C. Wenger's, four miles distant. The Bro. spared no time in inviting his neighbors to come in and have prayer in the afternoon. God met with us and wonderfully manifested His presence and glory.
