LEGAL NOTICES. irst published in The Economist August 31. 1920. ELECTION PROCLAMATION: Electric Light and Water Bond Proposition. Under the authority conferred upon me by Ordinance No.

377 of the City of Clay Center, Kansas, and by virtue of the power vested in me by law, 3eo. W. Hanna, mayor of the City of Clay Center, Kansas, proclaim and make known that a special city election will be held in and for the City of Clay Center, Kansas, on Tuesday, the 21st day of September, 1920, at which election there will be submitted to the electors of said city, the following proposition for their adoption or rejection, namely: "Shall the following be adopted: Proposition to issue bonds of the City jf Clay Center, Kansas, to the amount jf $80,000.00 for the purpose of constructing, purchasing and extending svorks for supplying said city and its nhabitants with electric light and water, and paying the expenses incurred in connection therewith." The amount of bonds proposed to be ssued under and -by virtue of said Ordnance No. 377 is the sum of $80,000, and the purpose of the issue thereof is as follows: For the purpose of purchasing, constructing and extending works, for the supplying of the City of Clay Center, md its inhabitants with electric lights and water, and paying the expenses incurred in connection therewith; such bonds to be payable "on or before 20 fears after the date of issue at the option of the city, the same to bear interest at the rate of 6 per centum oer annum, passable semi-annually.
