THE SALVATION MESSENGER. THOU ART WEIGHED IN THE BALANCES FOUND WANTING. Dan 5:27. all. How few are ready to step in the balances.

The time iT coming when you shall be put in one scale and the word of God in the other. If your life does not measure up to the word of God; you will be found wanting. We have all broken the laws of God but let Jesus Christ come into your life and when you step on the scales you will have nothing to fear. Remember, we must keep all the commandments and that if we break one, we are guilty of all. Marguerite nelphingstine.

Sabetba, Kansas. thy God in vain. How many youog men take the Lord's name in vain everyday. God will not hold them guiltless in the day of judgment. If found wanting when weighed in the balances they will be lost.

The fourth commandment is "to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. "By some peoples' actions- one would think they never knew thif commandment was in the Bible. Many harvest their grain on Sunday and do many other things instead of going to church and worshipping God. I wonder how many boys and girls are willing to be weighed with this law, "Honor thy father and thy mother." Many think everyone else knows more than their parents do. Some even laugh, at their mother's prayers.

There is a day coming when their laughter will come to an end. If you disobey your parents you will be sorry for it some time. How few really honor their parents in the way that they should. People are without natural affections as the Lord said they would be in the last days. The next commandment is "Thou shalt not kill." Perhaps you will say-I am no murderer.

I never slayed anyone; but' Christ says he that hateth his brother is a murderer. No murderer STOP AND LISTEN Dear friend, stop for just a moment and listen. Listen to what? Listen to the awful weeping and wailing of the lost souls in Hell. Listen to the gnashing of teeth. On the other hand listen to the soogs and shouts oft praise of the angels and the redeemed souls of men.

You say, "We cannot hear them." Now while we cannot actually hear' them, yet we have a faint idea of what it must be. This world is the stillest world that we will ever live in. There are many King Belshazzar made a great feast to a thousand of his lords and drank wine with them out of the holy vessels of the house of the Lrd which his father had brot down from Jerusalem" While they were feasting and drinking and praising the gods of silver and gold, instead of worshipping the true and living God there appeared the fingers of a man's hand and wrote upon the wall of the palace. Bclshazxar was greatly troubled. Neither he nor anv one there coulct interpret the writing.

Daniel was sent for by the king and this was a part of what the hand of God had written on the wall. "Tekel, thou art weighed in the balances and found wanting. That very night the king was Mlain and went out to meet God and was weighed on God's scales and found wanting of us are going to be weighed in the balances and I wonder how many of us are ready. We are going to be weighed against the law of God. Some people think we will not be judged by the ten commandments; but Jesus says, "I ami not come to destroy the law but, to fulfill." Let us take up the first commandment.

uThou shalt have no other gods before me. "Are you ready to weighed against this commandment? Have you no other gods before the Lord? Do youjworship your family, wealth or anything more than God? If you do noi love the Lord with all your mind heart and strength you shall be found wanting. "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them nor serve them," is the second commandment and is broken by manv. There are many people to-day who are worshipping idols.

They may not be in the form of graven images. It might be money, self, or anything they make an idol of. You shall to weighed by this commandment too. The next commandment is Thou ihalt not take the name of the Lord hath eternal life. The seventh commandment is Thou shalt not commit adultery." Are people who seemingly cannot bear to hear Christian people praise God and shout a little in this world.

They say, You are entirely too noisy. "They say, "Oh my' that just grits on my nerves. "Now friends, it is not your nerves. It is because you are not right with God, and when you hear somebody say, "Praise the Lord, It torments your guilty soul. If you expect to go to heaven, you may as well get used to the shouting here on erth, for there- will be plenty of it in heaven.

If you miss heaven, you will weep aud wail aud gnash your teeth forever. L. M.K. JESUS is COMING! ARE YOU READY TO MEET you ready to step in the scales and be weighed against this law? Would you be found wanting? You may think no one knows your sin but remember that the eyes of the Loid are upon you. "Thou shalt not steal." Are you gui ty of theft? It mav be you have only taken a few cents but you have broken this commandment just as much as if you had stolen a large sum of money.

You shall be weighed against it for it is all the commandments you are to be weighed against. "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Do you ever speak evil things about your ueighbor? Do you tell lies about them? The tenth commandment is "Thou shalt not covet," It is a very easy thing to covet but if you break this one commandment you are guilty of.
