The Dillon lodge A. 0. U. V. is in a very prosperous condition.

It has forty-one members. Engine No. 887 blew out a cylinder-head about a mile east of town Tuesday evening. The train backed into Dillon and a part of it was side-tracked. The remainder got to Council Grove without further trouble.

Call on J. M. Mosley for baled hay, coal and all kinds of grain. Over in the county jail is a 9 year old boy, a bright lively fellow, Lee Thompson. He is sentenced to the Reform school, but, remains here in jail, crying for liberty and his mother.

The spectacle of this big county penning up a 9 year old boy in the jail with A. Murray was in Abilene Monday. Ed Volkman was over from Woodbine. Dr. Jolley's sister was visiting him last week.

Mr, A. Bohannon has returned from Illinois. Mrs. D. Holter of Hope was visiting in town.

Mrs. Chas. Hatch is suffering with appendicitis. F. Homman and wife of Solomon were the guests of Mr.
