The delegates elected to discuss intercollegiate athletics, and to form, if possible, a state association, convened at a rather late hour on Saturday morninj. Delegates were present from Washburn, Salina, Baker, K. S. Ottawa, State Normal, Manhattan, and Winfield. Emporia College sent two sets of delegates and, as the convention could not decide between them, neither was admitted.

The discussion revealed the general desire on the part of the delegates and the colleges they represented, to form a state association and to carry on, on a large scale, all kinds of 'athletic contests between the different colleges. F. II. Kellogg, K. S.

was made president, A. Tucker, Washburn, was made secretary and Manhattan treasurer. These three officers were made a committee to draft a constitution. As most of the delegates had to leave on the 11 :00 train the convention then adjourned and it remains to be seen what the colleges will do with their work. Entered at the Post Office as second class matter.
