Whitney. We wisti to thank all of our friends ed face. Man can veil his face largely to what he in life- The old Jews kept a veil over the Holv of All. We all with unveiled face reflect th' glory of the Lord. If the mind is no open to the Lord's the trans formation can not take place.

can not take place. We can see if we wish to. But we also may ve our faces. The unveiled face, the open mind can see the glory of God. But the formula says reflect.

That is a.part we can not help. If we se we reflect We are mirrors. A mir ror must be turned to the light if i' is to reflect but when it is turned the light it must reflect by the ven laws of its existence. Our lives fleet every thing we see whether it i bad or good. If we see the glory God we are bound to reflect glory.

And what is the Glory of th Lord but the character of the Lord. Thus if we see the character of the Lord his character is bouud to be reflected in us. Yet this is not the most wonderful thing. The wonderful work of this formula is that we are changed that glory which we are beholding We are not the ordinary looking glasses which loses the images tin moment the object taken from be fore it; We are cameras which re tain the likeness. As we reflect tl character of the Lord we a recti a uged to a character like his.

This trans formed is very much more wonderful than that of the camera that is a side from the fact that it is in a high-er realm it is still more wonderful. The picture that the camera only au imprint, it is realy a likeness. A photograph of a tree is not like the tree itself. It is not made of the same substance nor is it the same shape. It is only an imprint that sugests a likeness to the mind.

Not so the transformation ot the soul as it reflects the glory of the Lord If some camera could be invented that would in reality create likei es in stead of a mere suggestion of a tree on a piece of cardboard kthere would be a real tree, not so strong and thrifty as the original, but still a real tree with woody trunk and binding branches and dancing leaves with life and and power growth Such a camera is impossibility say, for a machine can not be made that will give life. Herein is the wonder of the change in us as we re-fiVct the character' of Chris. It is not merely a change in what was before there but there is some thing new brou-'ht in. New.life ia received We are chauged from glory to glory, from character to character, each-new glory Doing more like the original. Here is a transformation inexplicable to natural laws.

It is supernatural, it is spiritual. And this is the only explanation that Paul attempts to give for the action in this wonderful formula ''even as by the Spirit of the Lord. The first quarterly conference of and especially the choir for their assistance in the less of our husband ami father. Mrs. Harriet Berkey.

Therefore we all with unveiled face reflected as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are ehanged from glory to g'ory, even as by the spirit of the Lord 2 Cor.

3:18. Here is what Drummond calls the formula that can be worked out as clearly and definately as any io science and with as sure results. One notable feature of this formula is the passivitly of the person. We are changed, we do not change ourselves we are worked upon, we can not do the work of the changing ourselves Man can not lift himself above himself. The power that lifts him up must be a power above him.

This is true in the phypical world. Power can not be created. It may be obtained from another source. Man has only so much of power in him, so much of character, as a whole he is as much and this amount what ever it is can not increrse in itself. If it is to increase it must be increased by a greater power.

So if man's character is to become greater it must receive this increase from greater source of character. With unveiled face reflecting as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are changed. One phrase of the formula ikes a man responsible with unveil not attending Sunday School where vou should attend one of these You will be extended the welcome hand at either school.
