The play was Damon and Pythias, and the opera house was full to overflowing with a large and appreciative audience.

The company did their parts nobly. The costumes were elegant. Ic was grand from the opening scene in the first to the closing scene in the last act. Knights of Pythias lodge throughout the state should charter this company to play Damon and Pythias. It teaches a noble lesson to the young and old.

Of the production of Damon and Pythias to be given at the opera house in Holton, Saturday evening. May 9, the Junction City Union, of April 25 says, "The K. of P. benefit given last Monday evening by the Grace Hezlep company, was greeted by a $300 house. The company presented the popular play entitled 'Damon and Pythias' or the test of true friendship.

Mr. Charles King, the popular manager of the company, took the role of Damon and was repeatedly greeted with loud applase. Mr. King is a strong actor and was quite a favorite during his week's engagement in the city. E.

Elba Wright appeared as Pythias in a faultless manner. Mr. Wright is an actor. Miss Hezlep, as Calantha, was the charming feature of the play. The support was good.

The K. of P. boys did a great amount of hard work aud deserye the success that attended their eflorts. The Grace Hezlep company, as long as it contains Miss Hezlep, Mr. King and Mr.

Wright as stars, will be popular in Junction City. Capt. L. H. Gast delivered a very instructive lecture at K.
