Bro. Yoder has fully consecrated his time and talents to the Lord, and instead of his education ruining him he is using it to the glory of God. He has done pastoral and evangelistic work; was editor of the Brethren Evangelist for several years, also was Prof, in Ashland, Ohio, college; had charge of mission work in Montreal during the past year. Chas. spent several weeks prior to his departure with home folks and preached a number of times in Morrill, Hamlin and Falls City to appreciative audiences.

At the close of the meeting a number came to the altar and two girls prayed thru to sanctification. Bro. Eisenhower returned to his home near Ramona, Kan.

We had the privilege of attending the camp meeting at Centralia, the last Sunday in July. The Spirit of God was present and souls wTere converted to God. It was a real feast to the saints and they left Centralia rejoicing in the God of their salvation. The saints of Centralia are greatly encouraged in the work of the Lord. May the blessings of God rest upon them.

Wednesday, August 11, was set aside by the citizens of Morrill for a general clean up of the town, and as a result of it our little city has been much improved in appearance. Now that we have a start in the cleaning up business let us set apart a day for every person in Morrill and vicinity to come to God and let Him do a cleaning up of the heart and thereby cleanse every one from all their sins and bad habits making them new creatures in Christ Jesus ready to meet our Lord in the air. B. F. Eichelberger, wife and daughter, Estella, of Tabor, Iowa, spent a week in and near Morrill with relatives.

The Lord gave us some blessed meetings while they were with us. A number came to the altar and prayed thru to victory. On Sunday, August 1, Bro. B. F.

drove to Sabetha with the editor where we held an open air meeting in the afternoon. They left for Ramona, last week to spend some time with Mrs. Eichelberger's parents. Iheir son, Ray is staying with his uncle, H. P.

Engle, near Hamlin. Annual Camp Meeting at Rulo, Nebr. The Holiness Church of Christ will hold their annual camp meeting at Rulo, beginning Aug. 26, and continue 10 days. A special invitation is extended.

To The Saints of God Greeting. In presenting this, the first issue of Glad Tidings to the public we wish to say that it was thru prayer and faith the living faith that led us to go down into our pockets for the price and trust God for results. For some time the Lord seemed to impress on our mind the parable of the man who had received one talent and went and hid it. While praying about the matter the Holy Spirit showed us that a great many of God's children have been driven from the fold, out into the cold world, by cruel and unwise shepherds who love the "fleece" more than the sheep. From different parts we heard the cry of the lambs as they prayed and longed for a paper where every child of God, regardless of name and order, could have equal right at our Heavenly Father's table.

We are glad to say God heard and answered these prayers by putting the burden for this paper upon His church at Morrill. And what could we do but put our talents to use for the blessed Christ who died that we might live throughout eternity? We praise Him for giving us a part in this great work of salvation. The subscription price of Glad Tidings will be only 25 cents per year, in advance. This is such a small sum for a clean, neat little paper published twice each month, that every family can afford to take it. We hope every person receiving a copy will send 25 cents for a year's subscription, or better still send us a dollar for your own and three friends who would like to read a full gospel paper.

Write the names and addresses very plain that each subscriber will receive the paper regular. Let every one do their best i i wiiting and getting subscribers for Glad Tidings. God bless you all. Since Glad Tidings is given from God in answer to prayer we believe it would be just and right to publicly dedicate the same to Him and His kingdom, we do therefore humbly bow and present Glad Tidings to God, the Father, and Jesus Christ, His Son, our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit, our abiding Comforter. May Heaven's blessing rest and abide upon this and every subsequent issue we humbly ask in Jesus name.

Amen! Editor. The Reaper of Death in Our Midst. Grandma Price, wTho lived south of Hamlin, passed away to her reward Monday. Aug. Sth, of heart failure.

W. S. Showalter, one of our esteemed citizens, passed away to his reward Saturday, August 7th, at the age of 58 years. The deceased had lived in this community for many years and was well known as a good citizen. The funeral was held in the Baptist church Tuesday forenoon, conducted by Bro.

Hendrick, of Hamlin, assisted by Bro. T. A. Eis-enbise. The departed leaves a wife and six children to mourn his loss, but they have that blessed hope that they shall meet him again at that blessed day.

Albert, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kendal, of Morrill, met sudden death near Weston, Monday, Aug. 9, by a freight train running over him.

Mr. Kendall was well known here having grown to manhood in this community. He leaves a wife and one daughter, four years old. He was 27 years of age and had been a breakman several years. The funneral was conducted by Bro.

C. M. Yearout, Wednesday afternoon from the Brethren church. We remember a number of years ago of meeting Albert in a meeting where the Spirit of God had wonderfully convicted him that he should give his heart to God and lead a different life. We remember well how the saints plead with him to yield to God and how the dear boy shook and trembled under such awful conviction, but he refused to yield at that time, and whether he ever had another call or not we do not know, but God does, and we know He doeth all things well.

Missionaries to South America. Bro. Chas. F. Yoder and party sailed Wednesday, August 11th, for Coedova, Argentina, to establish mission work in South America.

We deem it a privilege of being personally acquainted with Bro. Yoder as he was formerly a Morrill boy and has become a mighty man for God and a blessing to his church. Mr. Yoder was born March 16, 1873, in Wayne county, Ohio, and moved with.
