Crawford and William C. Renfrow, has secured about nine thousand acres of, mining lands, within the rich lead and zinc mining belt about five miles southwest of Galena, Kansas, located in the Ouapaw Reserve, Indian Territory. Heretofore this reserve has been controlled by the United States Government for the Indians and mining on their lands was not allowed. The above named company is now in undisputed control by authority of an act of Congress, of the said nine thousand acres, and will guarantee to miners all the rights and privileges customary in mining district. There are now about twenty-five shafts going down on this tract.

Zinc and lead ore has already been found in five of these. A limited amount of these lands will be leased in tracts of not more than forty acres on liberal terms. The indications on the surface for and abundance of Lead and Zinc are claimed to be equal if not better than in any other mining district in Missouri or Kansas. Parties desiring to Get in on the Ground Floor should make application at once. Any information wanted concerning the company's lands, relating to leases, mining regulations, will be promptly attended to at the company office on the land, or by addressing A.
