Practice in all the Courts. Notaries in Oflice. INSURANCE AND LOANS 111 North Broadway. Pittsburg, Kas Kansas City, Stock Yards. TUESDAY REVIEW.

April 28th, 1903-Over 14,000 cattle here today. Too many, fully 5,000 more than was generally expected. The packer buyers were late getting started and trades dragged along with no life. There were many strictly good, heavy cattle for which orders were limited; several loads of these remain unsold. Everything sold a big dime lower; some salesmen declare the heavy cattle 15 cents off.

Good fat cows and heiters depreciated 5 to 10 cents; the common and ordinary kinds were neglected. The recent marked decline on medium killing heifers has forced salesmen to sell much of this class to the country buyers. As a consequence, the wire edge is off the thin cow a and heifer market. Eastern buyers were in evidence through the stock and feeder department: the supply of good ers was none too heavy and prices remain unchanged. We quote today's range of prices: Good to choice dress beef and exports $5.00 to 85.40 Tair to good 4.70 to 5.00 Half fatted ard coarse gradas.

4.60 to 4.85 Thick fat, long ted 4.75 to 4.90 Fair tO medium 4.00 to 4.50 Corn fed cows. 3.85 to 4.40 Fair to decent cows. 3.25 to 3.15 Young cows and thin heifer. 3.00 to 3.50 High grade thin steers, all 4.85 to 5.00 Plain to fair kinds, thin in flesh. 4.25 to 4.75 Common and trashy stuff.

3.75 to 1.00 HOGS. And still the hogs do come. More than 17.000 here today. The packers took off 10 cents at the start, making prices 29 cents lower in two days. The.

top sale today is very few sales made above $6.90, bulk being around $6.70 to $6.90. Light hogs sold mostly at $6,50 to $6.70. There was a mean, sluggish feeling at the of today's trading. Hogs ready for market should be shipped without waiting for any pos-1 sible improvement. The tendency is surely in the other direction.

Chicopee was the scene of a serious fracas Monday night in which several people were badly and one, perhaps fatally injured. The trouble arose over a long standing feud which had existed between some of the Chicopee young men and certain Italians of "Little Italy" or West Chicopee. Monday night the Italians who were mixed up in the fight were drinking in the saloon of Pirero Vietti when they were attacked by the others with stones, clubs and other missiles. The saloon fixtures were badly smashed up and among the badly injured were S.

A Most Liberal Offer. All our farmer readers should take advantage of the unprecedented clubbing offer we this year make, which includes with this paper The Live Stock Indicator, its special Farmers' Institute Editions and The Poultry Farmer. These three publications are the best of their class and should be in every farm home. To them we add, for local county and general news, our own paper, and make the price of the four one year only $1.25. Never before was SO much superior reading matter offered for so small an amount of money.

The three papers named, which we club with our own, are well known throughout the West, and commend themselves to the reader's favorable attention upon mere mention, The Live Stock Indicator is the great agricultural and live stock paper of the West. The Poultry Farmer is the most practical poultry paper for the farmer, while The Special Farmers Institute Editions are the most practical publications for the promotion of good farming ever published.
