He is capable, ho is honest, he is true to his friends, understands the necesities of the times, and the desires of the public. Ile is the best man that could be nominated for the place. Stillie: OTJR COUNTY TICKET. The democrats of Mitchell county have made a ticket that commands the confidence of the people. It Is one of character and capacity. It is a business man's ticket, with force and life in it. D.

A. FREEMAN, i for county treasurer, Is one of the oldest and wealthiest citizens of Beloit. The only office of profit or honor ever held by him ia that of Mayor of this city, which he now fills. lie needs no eulogy at our hands. His political enemies have nothing but good words for him, as is shown by the following clipped from the Beloit Courier and Gazette: As predicted by the Courier, long Duane Freeman is an independent candidate for? county treasurer, for both terms, as will be seen by refer-ingto his announcement under the proper beading.

Mr. Freeman cannot expect very much taffy from these headquarters, since he has voluntarily left the Republican party to ask favor outside of party organization. That he is an enterprising, energetic man, no one can dispute. lie came 'to this county very early in its modern his-" and by perseverance and good management has built up a fine business lucrative to himself. No doubt he will make it extremely interesting to the regular nominees, but we cannot see what he has to depend upon for success.

Courier. Under the announcement head will be found a card from Duane Freeman, stating that he is an independent candidate for county treasurer, for both long and short terms. Mr. Freeman has been a resident of Mitchell county for fourteen years, and has probably done as mnch for the advancement of her interests as any man within her borders. He has not been a persestent office seeker, but is now serving as mayor of Beloit.

He is as well known as any man in the county, is reliable and honest, and. if elected, will serve the people faithfully and well. Gazette. GEORGE H. CBAGIN, of Cawker City, the nominee for county clerk, is a representative of the young democracy of the county, is twenty-six years of age, and the assistent cashier, hi the First National Bank of Cawfcer 'City, an educated accountant, of perfect integrity, exemplary habits, and of great personal popularity at home where he is best known.
