Family of Three Disappears Winfield, Aug. disappearance of an entire family motoring from Kansas to Wilwaukee, and details of a fruitless search lasting ten days were revealed here today when Tom G.

Fowler, a farmer living north of here, appealed to Sheriff H. Hoover, this morning for assistance in tracing his lost relatives. According to Mr. Fowler, his son, J. F.

Fowler, and wife and their small child, who came from Milwankee to visit here, have been missing for ten days, since they left Kansas City for Sioux City, to visit relatives. Several weeks ago the Fowlers left Milwaukee and motored to a Winfield for a. After spending several weeks here they started to Kansas City taking Mrs. Tom Fowler with them. They visited a short time in Kansas City and prepared to resume their journey.

Mrs. Tom Fowler, her husband says, returned to Winfield, from Kansas City, the same day her son started for Towa. It was his plan to stop a few days in Sioux City and then drive on to Milwaukee. Before leaving Kansas City, Mrs. J.

F. Fowler bought five postcards one of which she promised to send each day to her in Winfield. The cards were never received. Mrs. Tom Fowler waited anxiously ten days for word fher son.

Thoroly alarmed Mr. Fowler sent a wire to relatives Sioux City asking them for news of his son. The answer said the son had not been there. Another wire was then sent to Milwaukee and a similar answer was received. Several other towns along the route to Milwaukee were wired but no trace of the missing people or the Ford car which they drove could be secured.

Mr. Fowler fears that his son and family have met with foul play. He says they have ample time to reach Milwaukee as it has been fifteen days since they left here. J. F.

Fowler is well known here his parents being among the oldest residents of this county. He is a teacher in the North Division high school in Milwaukee and is well known there. Auto Accident Tuesday evening Jno. Haist and Miss Breault were returning from the picnic north of town in a when they they came up behind a team and buggy which failed to observe the 'State Road Law" and give the auto half of the road and as a result the auto driver either had to take the ditch or collide with the buggy. He took his chance at the ditch and the Ford overturned a and pinned the occupants underneath. The net results to the occupants was a facture and dislocation of the wrist for Miss Breault and a fractured pelvis for Mr. Haist, and a somewhat wrecked Ford.

A good many team drivers seem to forget that a half of the road belongs to the driver of the automobile whether meeting or passing and the law so specifically states, and that he should give that to him and is liable to a fine if he does not do so. The wonder is that we have so few accidents as we do, instead of there being so many as some would make it appear. A good heavy fine assessed against oome of the team drivers, as the law intends, would be a good lesson for these careless -Miltonvale Record. Storage prices on coal will end August 31st.
