OW KNS. A Building Buhrer Block Stone cutters and other workmen went to work the first of the week to complete the Buhrer building on Main street. This building was nicely under way when the death of Mr. C. Buhrer stopped the work temporarily.

The building will lie of stone, two stories high, with a fine cement basement underneath, it all. lower floor will be used for store rooms or similar purposes, and the upper Hooter offices or lodge rooms. -We arte pleased to see the work resumed on this building as it will be a monument to the father who planned it, a credit to the town and a complement to Iain street. Organized Boy Scouts. Eleven of Chapman's brightest lads got together Monda-y afternoon and, under the direction of Russel B.

Krebs Elsworth, organized a Boy Scout company. The city council has passed an ordinance directing the calling of a special election for the purpose of submitting the question of voting bonds for the construction of a waterworks system to supply our people and the town with water. Thecouncil proposes to issue bonds to the amount of $25,000.00, to hear live per cent.

Inter-est and to run thirty years. The council reserves the right to call and pay one of such bonds in their numerical order at its face value, plus the accrued interest to the date of payment, reserving the right to call and pay all the bonds in ten years if it i i. so desired.
