W. railrroad, was approaching Cheney, at a point where the grade was several feet above the level of the ground, an axle cf one of the forward cars broke, precipitating the train from tha track. Some eight or ten cars were a total wrtek, delaying the east bound passenger train at Cheney till Sunday noon. Regular trains are running again now however, ana the track men are getting the debris well cleared up. Strange to say no one was severely injured by the accident.

Beach, a resident of Pratt county, received a letter from the eastern part of the state, giving an ac count of a horrible tragedy that resulted from a protracted revival.
