Ella Ileuch. Dr. Bennie was favored with an invitation, and occupied a seat at the table with the wedding party. Mr, E. M.

Weed and his charming and highly accomplished bride are well and favorably known in this community. Tho groom is among the earliest settlers, ami the first to embark in the mercantile interests of Long Island. His business career has been one of continued success, and his friends and admirers are legion. The bride is a queenly lady with a wealth of beauty and intelligence and the cynosure of a large circle of warm and admiring friends, The Argus joins in the congratulations extended the happy couple by tho people of this vicinity, and sin-cerley hopes that the blessings, joys and successes of life may be to them nioro than realized. Those knowing themselves indebted to the P. O. Store, ill please call and settle at once. 14th, 1885; Arthur, infant son of Mr. and Mrs.

Nathan Thornburg, of Fairview, Phillips county Kansas. Arthur was a bright little child, fourteen months of age, and up to the morning of the day of his death was full of life and health. On that morning a pail of hot water was left on the table, thought to be out of his reach. This he pulled over ou himself and was scalded so badly that death resulted at 10 o'clock p. m.

The grietstricken parents have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral was preached by the undersigned at 3 p. m. Saturday June 21st. The funeral was from the home of the parents, and was attended by many friends and neighbors.
