He speaks very highly of Wallace as a student: Wallace is attending the National Correspondence school at Indianapolis and progressing rapidly. Ben Shlnn, went to Moran Friday to visit her daughters, Mrs. Tnompson and Cora Shlnn. Mr. John Withers and family started to Montana Monday, where they expect to make their home. We are sorry to see them leave, but wish tuem success wherever they decide tc maice their future W.

A. Donnell, residing near Devon, has been sued by his wife, through her attorney, J. I. Sheppard, for a dU vorce. Donnell Is charged with cruelty.

FORT SCOTT, KANSAS. DRAMATIC NOTES. The comic opera, Miss Bob White, will be presented at the Davidson Theatre on the evening of March 13. The company numbers 100 people and is a guaranteed attraction. Allen Doone, the famous singing Irish comedian, will appear at the Davidson' next Tuesday, March 13, in Joseph Murphy's Irish drama, the "Kerry Gow." Allen Doone 13 a magnetic and pleasing ingenue and has a pure tenor voice.

He is surrounded with a strong company. Lyman H. Howe's new Lifeorama, which will appear at the Davidson on March 10, can safely be relied upon to enchant every beholder and by its very reality carry him to distant lands. It is a program a-glitter with magnificent scenes gathered from the furthermost parts of each. The only Shakespearian play to be seen in Fort Scott will be King Richard the Third on the evening of March 15.

Mr. John Griffith will appear as Richard. The supporting company is very strong. Theatre-goers are promised a treat In this production. The Messenger from Mars is one of the fine attractions to the Davifcon.

The date is March 27. Th; attraction will play the Willis Wood theatre, Kansas City, first. The Clansman, the most widely talk ed of play of the century, comes to the theatre on March 22nd. Hon. Chas.

F. Scott, candidate for congressman from this district, wi'l speak at the Court House this evening, and being a speaker of unusual ao.y, will attract a large crowd. If John Craln is nominated on tho. Uuzens ticket as their candidate for councilman from the second ward wni be considerably harder than usual for the republicans to win, even with as good a man as Mr. Penniman.

I. N. Bolinger shipped a car of cattle and one of hogs to Kansas City this week. The cattle were some he had fed, averaging fourteen hundred pounds. Mrs.

Hattie Roweth's household goods were shipped down from Bron-son Wednesday and moved onto her place, she recently bought of Mrs. Oould. Mrs. Gould moved to town. -us Lease and Gilbert Clark went to Fort Scott Tuesday morning.

The Triple Tie lodge gave a supper to its members Tuesday evening. Mrs. Cooper was elected as a delegate to the Triple Tie grand lodge this year. An attempt was made to reorganize our band last week. We, have some good talent.

All we need is energy. It is said that a rat caused quite a Dit of excitement among the ladies at the Triple Tie supper Tuesday evening. We are very proud to see a young lady from our town in the lead in the B. C. P.

A. Piano Contest. Also glad to see our neighbor running so well. Giover Bros, are cleaning flax, getting it ready to be sown this spring. T.

D. Carpenter, of the Carpenter Manufacturing company of butler, was in town Monday, buying eggs. J. R. Dyer and family moved to Gas City last week.

Jake Hunt loaded a car here one day last week and moved to Gas. Mr. and Mrs. T. M.

"Whiteside went to Uniontown Sunday to attend the Ledbrook funeral. A. A. Bolinger is putting up a new building at the southwest corner of Jus lumber yard. Fred Swarti and C.

Mrs. Jim Chamberlain entertained quite a numberof her kin folks from Uniontown, the latter part of last week. Howard Troy sold his farm in Thomas county last week. Clint Glover and Howard Troy drove over to Lakeside to visit Lloyd Davis. They report some fine sport shooting ducks.

Miss Margie Hodgson went home Friday evening. The cold weather prevented work at Bandera Airs. A. A. Stires and Mrs.
