Pearl Hurtt were called from Wichita Sunday on, account of the illness of their mother, Mrs. S. C. Stires. Miss Fay Stires came Tuesday night.

Chamberlain was quite sick but is improving now. Harley Lewis went to Fort Scott Saturday. The grading of Pine street has. removed the pond to a point just west of the band stand. T.

L. Thogbartin was home from Tipton, Sunday and Monday. A. Stires has bought the forty acres where the Gilfillan quarry was, west of town, and is going to start a chicken farm. Mr.

Troundle and family visited their new nephey, Master. James Lardner, at Bronson, Wednesday. S. J. Tyler was in Fort Scott Friday.

Sam Wells, wife and baby visited last week at Mrs. Well's father's, T. H. Likely. Mrs.

Maggie Tyler has gone to Fort Scott to live. F. A. Oharah and family visited relatives in Linn county last Saturday' and Sunday. I am in the market at all times for Cattle, Stock Hogs and Fat fogs.
