Ingersoll. Schuyler Landes escaped from the usual rontine of life in Kirwin last Friday and came up to the burg. When Schuyler made this office a call we couldn't imagine what brought him here, as the season for populist conventions is past. but the gentleman informed us that he was called here to assist in furni-hing music for the Christmas ball to be given that evening. Mr Warner also bolds the position of president of the reorganized Central Branch or that portion 4f the system extending from Atchison to Waterville. Atchison's interesta lien in the continued operation of all the Central Branch lines by the Miss. Jouri Pacific and the outcome of the negotlations will be watched with interest. 9. 1827 Columbiana Co Ohio. Moved to Iowa when 18 years old. Was marriage to Susannah Hawk of Des Moines Co Iowa, at the age of 27. To this union were born 10 children.

In 1874 they moved to Phillips Co Kan being among the early settlers here, He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and lived a christian life. He died Jan 1 1899 at the age of 77, years 2 months and 22 days. He leaves a wife and 9 children to mourn the loss of a good father and kind and loving husband. The funeral services were held at the home and conducted by Rev G. M.

Sunday morning we received: Letter from Mrs F. Boddington from Kan Pity stating that I her daughter Rose had een very sick for the past week with severe case of sore throat and that she was still conflued to her bed.
