The Republican seems to have lost sight of its public statement that it would not do any printing for the city until something that will never happen occurs. They would have had to go back on their former statement to publish the ordinance, and Mr. Pickrell supposed they had more firmness than to do a thing they say they would not do. Second the expence of printing the ordinance ten times, would not equal once published in the Republican if tyey keep up their old steals. He is all right on the question, and very enthusiastic.
