A'CUi SSJUJNTINEL, UAYLUltJJ, Conrad, has been quite sick with Rev. Philo Conrad and wife spent Monday visiting at Roy Conrad's. scarlet fever. He is under the care of Dr. Tallman and is getting along nicely.

Dr. Ogg of Osborne was called and fixed it up so the little girl is getting along fine. Harry Atkinson and wife drove drove over to Woodston last Saturday and spent the day with their daughter, Mrs. Swank and family.

The people of the neighborhood were saddened last Friday, to hear of the death of Mr. Wait. We knew he had a cancer of the stomach, but did not expect his time to be so short. The funeral was held, Sunday, at the Lawrence Creek church. It was the largest crowd we ever saw at this church.

Rev. Philo Conrad preached the funeral, and the body was laid to rest in the Osborne cemetery. Rollie Conrad went to Wichita last week and is attending automobile school at that place. Mrs. Will Reinoehl was taken quite seriously sick last Monday morning. The doctor was called and her two daughters went down in the afternoon. She is some better at the time of this writing.

John Bliss and wife went to Wichita one day last week. They took Mrs. John Conrad's sister with them. She had been here visiting for some time. Word was received this week from Chub Azeltine of Denver, saying jne was not quite as well as he had been and he was anxious to come back to Gavlord.
