of P. C. H. was united in marriage with Mrs. William Quarrels of Pratt, Kansas, by Judge Piscber Tuesday evening, November 26th, Mr.

Quarrels and his bride will make their home in Pratt. On the evening of November 27ch James F. Hardy and Miss Gertrude Winfrey were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents, near Kinirmin, Kansas. James had been missing from school on Monday of about every third w.ek, but no one thought of any serious results, only that he had been visiting friends at Kingm on Saturday and bad run it over into Monday. James was always trying to pull off some s-tunt that no or else had ver done before, so ha tried matrimony this time.

It is the only case on record at P. H. S. where a student got married and continued his course at school. He says that he onlv followed the examples of his teachers-; it must have been the male members Such a shock as this makes toe Senior girls feel downhearted and some of the Senior boys feel old.

The students of P. C. H. S. extend their heartiest congratulations to the young couple, wishing them many happy and prosperous years together.

All students enjoyed the farewell talk given by Rev. Gelvin Monday morning. The literary program which was to ba given November 27 will be given December 11, It was postponed bt-caude of the Art Exhibit. The following students placed in debate at the try out November 17th: Delmont Scott, 'Jess Gardiner, Than Bucklin, Jerome Chapman, Clyde Gelvin and Lloyd McPall. The first three named will constitue a team to set Hutchinson Jan a 'y 10th and trie last three named will meet Meade on the same date.

Asa Taylor spent Thanksgiving at his home, Haven. Walter Zimmerman visited at Max-ville during vacation. Professors Cook and Long celebrated the Pratt Reno victory by going on an all night coon hunt, in company with a number of townsmen. S. "Say, Ruth, don't get mar ried to that pencil; it's mine." The new Latin game is here and the Cicero students have played it several times. John McDaniels entered the Cicero clasd Monday, December 2nd, so Clyde cm not boast any longer aboui; being the only boy. The Cicero students have finished Cicero's Second Oration againbt Cata line. The Seni Normal girls have com pleted their course in Geography and will now take up the study of Gram mar. Zona Reese has been absent this week.

Hazel Miller, who is in the Stewart hospital in Hu chlnson, reported to be getting along nicely. She hopes to be in school again alter Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. James Htrdy attended the football game Thimday.

PITZER, Prop Rev. Gleckler Addresses the Y. M. November 21 Kev. ti.

L. Gleckler addressed the Y. M. fellows. His subject was "The Advantages and Disadvantages of the Ministry as a Pro fession.

After his talk those present took part in the discussion. The prin ciple thought of the meeting was the vital connection between the actual and the thought life. At the conclusion of these remarks Rev. Harry F. Gelvin gave the fellows a short talk along the same line of thought.

All enjoyed the meeting very much. On account of the Thanksgiving vacation there was no meeting of the Y. M. that week. November 27, Mr.

The German ill class had the sna misfortune of losiug one of their btu-dents, Miss Iva Harrel. one his t-cided to try (Quarrel)ing for the remainder of her life. Quite a number of the German stu dents have dropped out. The work is rather hard, but their time has been well spent for the subject will be much easier for the next year. Joe Helsel has been absent from' German II for several daje.

Is he Quarreling to? Manual Training. After having enjoyed our Thanksgiving feast we return to our shop with a stronger effort to accomplish more in the future than in the past. And after the poetess has spoken of us so well the faculty should pi a ted know that we have in our midst someone to encourage us in rhyme.
