W. D. Webb was induced to act as a decoy on the republican ticket to catch the colored vote, and thus defeat the people's candidate by electing a democrat. It. M.

W. Walker, of Effingham for representative from the county, and I. B. Wilcox for commissioner second district. The Champion liar in its report of the convention ignored Mr.
