Langdon and Ege by mistake, has been arrested and taken to Troy on the charge of manslaughter, and gave bail for his appearance at a preliminary examination. A petition has been presented to Governor Glick, praying for the pardon of Hugo Malm, of this city, convicted a number of years ago of murdering a man named Wilson.

Meade. Hallelujah chorus Messiah On Thursday morning about 6 o'clock Conductor James Kelly's freight train on the Central Branch road, was thrown from the track near Netawaka by a broken rail. The caboose and two cars were thrown from the track. J. T.

Stewart, a brakeman, not regularly employed, but coming in on the train, was killed instantly. Conductor Kelly also received a severe concussion, and atone time it was thought he was seriously injured. He was brought to this city, and taken to his residence in South Atchison, and the surgeon of the company summoned, who soon ascertained that no bones were broken and no dangerous Injuries sustained. Young Stewart, who was killed, resided at Udell, and his remains were taken to that place.
