Eiddle: In reply to the brother from Independence, in regard to German Constitution and By-Laws, I would say that the translation has been duly made and manuscript placed in hands of the printer.

W. Lawrence, May 16th, 1882. Brother Riddle: The May number of the Workman is just received, and I am proud of it. I do hope it will receive the patronage it so richly deserves, both from the Lodges in ad- vertising matter and from the Brothers individually. Please say to the Lodges in the June number that, as I will be absent at Cincinnati, attending Supreme Lodge, from about the 4th to the 20th of June, that correspondence coming to my office during that time will remain unanswered until after the 20th.

To Local Lodge Deputies: Brothers: Please take notice that you are hereby directed to attend to that part of your duty which requires you to see that the officers of your Lodge elected at last regular meeting in June are installed on the first meeting night of July.

It having been brought to my notice that certain Lodges in the State are violating article 2, Sec 1 (last two sentences of the Section), of constitution for Subordinate Lodges. Now, notice is hereby given said Lodges so violating that, unless they make effort, and that successfully, to have those Brothers so offending either cease doing so, or sever' their connection with the order, that they are laying themselves liable to have their enactors arrested any day. Charter. The Legion meets on the 1st and 3rd Friday evenings of each month. Following are the officers for term ending Dec.

Legion meets on 2d and 4th Friday evening, of each month. This Legion starts off under very favorable cicum-stances, is composed of A No. 1 material, well officered, and I predict for them a bright future. Wm. R.
