We were in a string ot five miles of vehicles of every description. We had to drive very slow as we had such a heavy load on, the printing office, a barrel of water, bedding and provisions, feed for the animals, 0 When we got in four miles of Round Pond it was after dark and we came to a bad place in the road, and a man told us not to attempt to cross Pond Creek, and while we were talking, a man with a big wagon drove past us, he was warned not to cross but did not heed it and drove on, befoie he got forty feet his wagon upset and tell on him and broke several of his ribs.

The cofusion was terrible, it was pitch dark and his screams was awful, 1 1 1 cne men tooit lanterns and got him out but three ot his ribs were broken, and there was no docter near. We camped out for the night, we ate a lunch and I slept in the wagon and Celbe under it. There were 200 teams caraoed there that night. So you see our paper was delayed until Sunday.
