McAllister, who died at Camp Merritt, San Francisco, July 9, arrived here on the Santa Fe passenger train Monday morning. Through some mistake it had been delayed at Newton, which necessitated the postponement of the funeral until Tuesday. A great many went to Zibn church last Sunday to attend the funeral, not having heard of the changed arrangements.

Members of the K. lodge took charge and escorted the body to the McAllister home west of the city, V. The last sad rites were performed at the grove nearby, friends coming from miles around to pay a last tribute of respect to the departed soldier boy. The number in attendance is estimated to have been any where from 500 to a thousand. It was the largest funeral ev-held in this vicinity.

On Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock the procession formed and proceeded to the grove. Services were opened with pray bearing his name and the E. triangle.
