Crowel returned home last week from Beloit where she has been visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Hahn returned home last Friday. Mr.

Herman Hempler called at Mr. Klink's Sunday afternoon. Mr. George Craw mer visited relatives near Glade last week. Mr.

No pains or expense has been spared to make the coming show a great success and it is hoped that all persons having suitable stock will send them, or better still, come along and see what the rest are doing. The late freeze damaged the combs and wattles somewhat, but do not hesitate on that account as very little is deducted for that. Our show will have ample and comfortable quarters and the people of Logan extend a cordial We are having warmer weather now.

M. McCormicks Thursday and Friday. P. J. Paulsen received a promotion this week as depot agent at Speed, while agent Owsley is away, it is rumored, on a matrimonial tour.

Mrs. Jennie Hall received word Thursday of the sudden illness of her daughter, Daisy, who is attending school- at AAanhatten, Kans. Mrs. Hall immediatly took the train for that place. G.

B. Washington threshed his alfalfa Thursday. The Winkiebleck boys shelled their corn Monday. R. J.

Baxter has been grinding his corn at Gus Seeger.s for feeding purposes. Mr and Mrs. Lee Calhoon will move on the old Harvey Henrie place in the spring. Mrs. Bertha Henderson was taken suddenly ill Sunday morning, but is some better at present.

G. B. Washington made a business call at P. J. Paulsen's Thursday.

Walter Paulsen has been hauling feed from Speed to Hall's, where he will farm the coming year. Orna McCormick made a trip to Phillipsburg Monday night. Walter Paulsen done the chores for Herman Gebers while the 'latter attended the funeral of his brother at Gaylord, Kans. We will make ourselves brief this week to avoid being crowded out of the paper. The Robber.

Mrs. John Carter left for Concordia Friday night, where she will have her eyes treated. Grant King visited over Sunday with Keith Wilson. Mr. Walter Weston's have moved from the north wart of town to the Bracken property.

J. M. Brumitt was thrown from a horse late Friday evening, breakiug his arm. No time was lost getting him to Stockton, where Dr. Book set his arm and he is getting along nicely at this writing.

Professor Mullvany and Mr. Geer called on G. W. Stroup Saturday eve. There was surprise party given at the home of Mr.

Geo. Vanellans Friday evening. Mr. C. Lawery got his arm broken Wednesday evening by a falling tree.

Dr. Ainworth, of Stockton, was called and set it. Mr. White and son Southard put up ice Thursday. Frank Koonce is very sick with appendicetis.

We hope for his speedy recovery. There was another skating party on G. W. Stroup's pond Friday evening. Nice weather we are having again.

Mr Geo. Codner visited at Mr. John Pool's Saturday and Sunday. r- Mr. Grant Ford and family, George Ford and John Pool visited at Mr.

Klink's Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, of Logan, visited at Mr Ford's Sunday night. Mr.

Sullivan returned home Monday and Mrs. Sullivan is visiting her sister near Speed. Edward Klink attended the dance at Lenora last Friday night. Everybody over this way is busy putting up ice. Miss Effie Damewood visited with Viola Klink Monday.
