On last Sunday morning the Sheri dan county Court House was set on Cue after the safes in the office of the Register of Deeds and the Treas urer had been opened and the records scattered over the floor, so that they would be sure to be destroyed. The building and its contents were con sumed. It is thought that $800 which was in the treasurer's safe, was stolen, not burned. There is no clew. It will cost $25,000 to make the loss good.

Prof. Parke did not play Saturday which badly crippled the Men. Long, of the Men, played a superb game on lb and batted in form. Rhine had on his batting clothes and pounded out two (2) home runs. Blackmer, in left misjudged a couple of flies but fortunately cost nothing.
