Charles Minn.j was for $10.00 and is made payable to the law firm through' a Chicago exchange bank. The draft wan sent by a client in St. Charles and was for the pay meut of witness fees in a case. Together with the draft was found some old letters. It happened in this way: Ralph Richards is in the law book binding business, having a contract with the Monitor Binding and Printing company to do the work.

He receives work from all over the country. A few days ago he received job from Rossington, Smith Dallas, of Topeka, and the books were sent. to this office. Ihe book binder, Ed Manning, in re-binding the law books, ran across the unpaid draft and turned it over to the management, whe draft was' dated July 15, 1893, and was as bright and new as when it was is-sued.
