Kimbrough This evening finds me with the everlasting joys of salvation in my soul. I want to say that God has actually saved and established me. I love this Bible route salvation, which I now enjoy. I am so glad that I ever said, "Restore unto me the joys of, thy salvation." And how I love the truth which is life to me! 1 God has been wonderfully blessing me. How I thank God for the way of holiness, that gives us a close walk with God.

This is just what God intended in His great plan of salvation to dwell in the hearts of His people. "Behold the tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God. That sounds like holiness to me. Praise the Lord Lord, give us more men that He can dwell in their hearts. Saints, pray for me that I may be where God can use me, and that I may lift up the old banner of holiness, and fight the battle to the gate.

Marion. 111. SARAH MERRYMAN Dear Bro. Kimbrough and Saints of God: I will write a few lines to the Banner. We are still among the living.

I am glad we can report victory in our souls and know that Jesus dwells We are living here in an awful, sinful city, where people do not know God. If we ask them to go to meeting, they will always have some excuse. We are having meet-ing here in Bro. Little's home, as w.e have no church building. -The Lord meets with us every service and blesses His children.

If any of God's preachers come to this place, they will find a welcome in our home. There are not many saints here, but what few there are love the truth and stand for the One Church. This leaves husband and me saved and sanctified. We just heard that Bro. Lacy had gone home to the place where no more pain, no more sickness or death ever comes.

Won't that be grand when all of God's people will dwell in that land, and may this bring his children to a place where they will meet papa. Sister Lacy, look up, be encouraged, for we'll understand it better by and by. Your Sister ih Christ. JOHN CLEVENGER Dear Bro. Kimbrough I feel that I am led to write you some of my experience.

This is my first time to write to the Banner. You may put it in the paper if you wish. I am so glad that I can say, today, that I am saved and sanctified. I love the way better than I love my own life. I have been sanctified two, years.

1 lived several years ill the Baptist church, and thought I did my best, but one time I heard Sister Johnson, and I had the light on holiness after that. But it seemed to me that 1 could not live it. There came a time when I moved to Carthage, and the Ixrd led me down to the Valley street church, and I was fully convinced that they had something that I did not have, and sooh I was hungry for it. It came to me that the very same God who sanctified me, could keep me sanctified, and I know that I did give all to the Lord. I presented my body a living sacrifice, and I know that the very God of peace sanctified me wholly as a second definite work.

I praise God for this way. I mean, by the grace of God, to go all the way. It surely means something to me. I praise the Lord for the dear pastor we have, and for the other saipts at Carthage. They have led me in the right.

Bro. Parmele is our pastor. I praise the Lord that my wife is sanctified, also one of my daughters, Sophia. I have more children that are not saved; I am praying for them. I went to the camp meeting at Iola, Kansas it was just a real training school for me.

If the Lord wills, I mean to be there next year. Well, saints, keep faithful. We knowvthat it is better farther on." Pray for me when it goes well with you. Your brother in Christ. Carthage, Mo.

EMMA WALDROOP Dear Banner Readers: How I do praise God for His cleansing blood, that cleanseth us from all iniquity. Truly, God is good Praise God from whom all blessings flow! My determination is to live closer to God and walk in the way of righteousness and holiness. Praise God one who stick-eth closer than a brother. So let us be more determined to live for God each day, and be more under the burden for lost souls. Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus, when we can go to Him and hold a sweet, silent communion at all times of distress, sickness or death, and let us throw out the lifeline to sinking, lost souls.

Truly the harvest is plenty, but laborers are few. So let us do all we can for the cause, of Christ for uplifting fallen humanity, and point them to the Lamb of God that tak-eth away the sin of the world. Oh, it seems that we are doing so little for God. Let us reach out a helping hand and speak a kind, encouraging word to those that are down in the ditch of sin. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus, forever.

The joy bells are ringing in my heart, and how I do love to tell the glad tidings, "Jesus is coming again." So let us keep our lamps trimmed and burning, waiting and watching for His coming. Let us love our brethren, and pray for those that despitefully use us. We are a peculiar people in the eys of the world, but the grace of God will enable, us to pray for them. Oh, that sweet peace and satisfying portion God gives us, that divine love He plants in our heart makes us love everybody. Many poor, hungry, thirsty souls are groping in darkness, resisting the gentle, persuasive voice of God.

May the God of peace search them out and give them that satisfying portion, and peace which the world can not give neither can it take away. The wages of sin is death. Oh, how glad I am for the atoning blood! Let us look up to God and trust His grace, and let us cling closer to Jesus' bleeding side, and let us all mingle together in the spirit 'of peace, unity and love, and if we have God in our hearts, we will love our brethren and our neighbor as ourselves. May the Lord bless each and every one of you, and keep you under the blood, is my prayer. Pray for me.

We saw in our paper what you said about the Thanksgiving offering to help pay off the debt on our Intertype machine, so 1 am going to send my little mite. 1 be glad to lift a square, but can't.

I was thinking while a dollar is little, if all that read what you said about the Thanksgiving offering, would send one dollar, it would no doubt lift two or three squares. So I will send mine. God knows all about us and knows our hearts. Our paper is so good this week. I am so of the unity convention.

I am praying the Lord to help. Wishing you success in the office, and God's children everywhere, I will close by saying, I am in the fight to the end, God being my Captain. Saved and sanctified and determined, by God's help to be faithful to the end. I am as ever. Fresno, Calif.

Just a little dead, cold sect preaching is all that is in reach. I am so hungry for preaching and the association of God's people'. I am striving to make heaven my home, but am not sure of rny sanctification. I may be doubting through so please pray for me that I may really get located and see myself as God sees me. I feel that I need help from God.

Your sister in Jesus. Henderson, Tex. LILLIAk CATES HAZEL GRAYHEM Dear Banner Readers I take this privilege of writing a few lines in regard to the meeting which closed two weeks ago, here at Weaver. I am rather late with it, but 'tis better late than never. The Lord knowing the need of just such a meeting, sent Brother Mitchell this way to preach his holy words and truths at a time when they were most needed.

He made the way and the truth so plain that there was great victory during the four, weeks he was in our midst. There were many conversions, 18 baptized, and 7 claimed to be sanctified. May the Lord bless Bro. Mitchell and his family, and keep them ever in the hollow of His hand, also the good people of Herrin, Marion, Johnston City, and Scotsboro, who were with us so faithfully during this revival. The Lord willing, Bro.

Mitchell will be in our midst next spring, and hold another meeting. We desire the prayers of all Christian people for this place; and we can truly! say that this is one year when we i can earnestly md devoutly offer up thanksgiving to God for the wonderful change He has wrought in Weav James Newton Lacy was born in Jasper county, on January 31, 1866. He departed this life at 5 :30 a. November 14, 1921, being 55 years, 9 months and 13 days old at the time of his departure. He was married to Emma Waller in 1888.

To this union were born four daughters. The mother departed this life in December, 1895. In 1897, he was married to Corda Brundage. To this union were born one son and three daughters. The present wife and eight children are still living to mourn their loss.

Also, four brothers are still living, three of them being present at the funeral. Bro. Lacy was converted when about seventeen years old. He was, sanctified wholly in Oklahoma, in the year 1894; and has been engaged in gospel work since, until hindered by failing health. He was a great sufferer for several years.

However, when he came to the crossing, the Lord gave him a peaceful and quiet entrance into rest. The funeral service was conducted in the Valley street holiness church, in Carthage, by Bros. Elkins, Parmele, and Beaver. The following Scriptures were used: A portion of the 90th Psalm, Mark 14: 8, Acts 9: 36-39, Num. 23: 10, Acts 11:24.

A large crowd of friends and relatives was present. The biographical sketches, with the Scriptures, made the service very precious to the saints and. family. Burial was in Park cemetry, this There are many people in the Independent Holiness work who were helped to find God and salvation through his labors. lie was once a good singer, and was a God-sent ex-horter.

He will be missed by many of us who knew him best. May God bless Sister Lacy and all the relatives, is the earnest prayer of the writer. E. Parmele Mary Elizabeth McNeely Nyhart died at her home near Deerfield, Vernon county, on Nov. 21, 1921, aged 55 years, 4 months and 14 days.

She was married to Charles DuRos-sette in 1880. To this union were born seven children, of which three survive: Lloyd and Roy of Deerfield and Mrs Ella Sampson of Joplin, Mo. Charles DuRossette, her first husband, died Aug. 28, 1897. In 1899, the deceased was married to A.

J. Nyhart. Three children were born to this marriage, one dying in infancy. The two living are now Mrs. Marie Bord, of Nevada, and Mrs.

Pearl Shamback of Deerfield, Mo. The funeral services were conducted by Brother R. B. Query, of Fort Scott, Kansas, taking his text from John "For as the Father raiseth up the dead and quickeneth them, even so the Son quickeneth whom he will," using in connection Ehpesians 2:1, "And you hath He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins."
