HOME COMFORT Obituary. While returning to hor home last Saturday afternoon about o'clock from Mrs. Ray's, Mrs. Eliza J. Chamberlain True was suddenly called to her future home.

Mrs. True was born in Indiana, July '30, 1827, and wus married to Win. True No vember 7, 1817. She was the last of the Chamberlain family, Mrs. True had boen a resident of Yates Center for a number of years, and has a host of friends who mourn her death.

Services in her memory were held at the residence Sunday afternoon by Rev, Bailey with music by the M. choir. At 6 p. m. the body was shipped to Kankakee, her old home, Mr.

True accompanying the body on its last journey. Obituary, David Wesley McCormack was born February 7, 18G2, and died March 25, 1900, aged 38 years, 1 month and 19 days, lie was married to Miss Mdry Petty, February 13, 1889. Four little boys have blessed this happy union. He was converted some five years ago, and on his death bed he said he was saved, lie did not fear death. He leaves a wife, four children, his mother, two brothers and a host of friends to mourn his loss.

Fun eral sermon was preached in the Baptist church at 2 o'clock on Tuesday by Rev. B. Prather, of the United Brethren church. Interment was mado in the Yates Center cemetery. Born to Henry Englebrecht and wife a son, 2(Jth.

Frank Robison's team caused consider able excitement on Wednesday afternoon by taking a spin aolng the south side of the square, bringing up in front of the Hotel Central without much damage ex cept broken harness and the hotel sign laid flat. Clinton, the 4 year old son of 01 Cul ver of a very painful and well nigh fatal injury last Wednesday. He was playing in the barnyard and was kicked by a colt upon the forehead cutting the scalp to the bone and tearing it back about 6 inches.He was hurriedly brought to Dr. Orendorff's office by his grandfather, put under the influence of chloroform, and the scalp drawn to it's natural position ana sewed up.

xnis is a serious Injury but the doctor promises a rapid recovery with but little scar. We are glad to be able to report this week a great improvement in the condition of honored friend, Mike Heffern, of Owl creek. Mr. Heffern has been i sufferor all winter from sciatic rheum atism and of late has been confined to his bed. Last week an operation was performed upon him by Dr.

Orendcrff, This operation consisted in dissecting ont and stretching the large nerve of the leg. This is a very difficult operation and it is the first time that it has been performed in this part of the country. Mr. Heffern's many friends hope and expect his improvement to be perma nent.
