Mrs. Ann M. Walters, wife of Simeon Walters, died Jan. 29, 1891. at her home in Horton, Kansas after several days illness with puenmonia, aged 62 years.

7 months and some days. Sister Walters professed religion at 12 years old, and joined the church, and remained a member up to the day her death. She was a member of the Christian church at Horton when she died. Her life was bright and peceful to the enl. I' her last conscious moments she had 110 fears of death.

She lived in Atchis oh, and this place, the latter she chose as her place of burial, where, 'On last Saturday, untwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, writer commemorated her death with a short discourse to a full house of mourning friends, at the Methodist church, 2 p. Ni. after which her remains were interred in the Ellingham cemetry. She lived as she believed, in lettng her light so shue as to constrain others and live likewise. She was well known to all here, and "known but to be loved." was the language of one who had known her many vears She was attentive to the sick and the needy She loved the church.

not. making special church the object of any her affections, but wherever and whenever there was a time for doing good or receiving good she availed, herself of the at the opportunity. One had but to look audi. ence of the funeral to realize the 1058 of the people. There were those who expressed their grief by tears and groans, but sadder still WAS that heart whose utterances Were to deep and low to be heard; Vet those wore present.

But oh. such weeping will not be long for We weep not as those who have no hope, bat it is but for a season till we will meet again. There is a reaper whose name is death, And with his sickle keen. He reaps the bearded gram at a breath, And the flowers that grow betw.en. And soon his sickie will cut uS down, and let us go (o live with those who have gone beyond the weeping of this world.
