G. E. Kelley returned to Huron the latter part of last week. A-bout a year ago he moved to Illinois, thinking he could do better there than in Kansas. He is glad, however, to get back again.

Thus, one by one, they return. If the party that was kind e-nough to put a sign on the door leading to our office will call at our sanctum with his bill we will be pleased to settle with him. Surely no one possessing such talent should go unrewarded and we always feel like helping the worthy, along. Dr, Plummer. has been telling some wonderful tales about the yields of vegetables and grains in Idaho, Washington which to the uninitiated seem incredible.

The writer has been in that country and can vouch for all he has heard the Dr, telL even to the fact that potatoes are froze down in July, and that roses bloom in. January. On account of the bad roads and stormy weather Rev. Stull did not deliver his lecture on "My trip to Europe and tho Paris Exposition" last Saturday evening, as he intended. If the weather is favorable he will do-liver it a week from to morrow night at the Christian churc-h.

Remember the time and don't fail to attend. Rev. Stull is a pleasing speaker and we feel sure his lecture will bo well worth listening to. City flection Monday. There are thre more weeks of school.

J. W. Creighton of Kansas City, who was here looking up a location in which to locate, decided that this place is too healthful to support another doctor, so returned home Saturday. We thought we were going to be able to state the fact that Mayor McClaln hadn't been out of 'town for a week, but he cheated us out of that item by going over th St. Jot; Monday morning, returning on the midnight train.
